The Benchmark Of All-Instrument Tuners
You don't have to look further for the "best" tuner; this is it! If you need a spot-on tuner, that will work on your bass-guitar, regular acoustic or electric guitar, or even your flute or clarinet, then this is the one to get. I have tried it on all of these, and it provides perfect tune in all. I've owned tuners from almost all major manufacturers, and while some come close to the Strobo-clip HD, none have been able to match its speed, accuracy and legibility. It's fantastic to have no lag-time in display, or doubt about which direction to turn the tuning knobs, or in the case of my clarinet, how far in or out to adjust the mouthpiece for a perfect B-flat reference tone. Likewise, for my flute, which on occasion requires a check of the mouthpiece tube/body insertion point. I was hesitant to spend more than the usual amount for a tuner, but some others are nearly as expensive, yet are not nearly as good. I've read a very few bad reviews, but when the source was considered, I realized I had to try a Strobo-Clip for myself. I'm extremely delighted that I did. Now I have a benchmark with which to calibrate all my other tuners, which are mostly of the sound-hole type (Korg Rim-Clip and a smaller one from D'Addario). These can work well on-stage, but can be fussy about where they are placed on the sound hole. Not so with the Strobo-Clip, which works anywhere you can clip it on.! Well, nuff said, take a chance (and with Amazon's easy return policy there is no real difficulty) and try one for yourself... You'll probably come to the same conclusion I did; why didn't I buy a Strobo-Clip years ago? The other features of this product are also great (like sweetened tuning and altered tuning, but honestly, it is alone worth the price just to have the easy of use, and accuracy it provides. Consider poor ratings of this tuner as either extremely rare instances of an issue with the tuner, or more often, improper operation by the end-user. I have had no issues, and the battery-life is certainly as good as any other tuner I've ever had. That is to say, turn it off when you're done; don't wait for auto-shutdown. All in all it'l the best clip-on tuner money can buy, and a bargain when that is considered.

Best guitar tuner ever made.
This is the best tuner i have ever had. I had many over the years but this is the only one i will ever need. Accurate, different options, easy to use, strobo tunning is amazing. Battery life is exeptional. Very recommended.👍🏻

Fantastic accuracy, easy to read, Peterson Connect and firmware updates make it very useful
First, one of the advantages of this tuner is that the firmware can be updated. I can't underscore it enough. They had a firmware update recently. I received the tuner a few days ago and immediately updated the firmware with the Peterson Connect web app. The update included an 80% improvement in boot up time...if you go on multiple sites to read reviews of this new tuner that was a major complaint...now solved. They worked on button presses and such as well. Many of the complaints I've read have been solved. Peterson does not come out with new equipment often...I feel confident they will continue to improve the firmware over time. I am having no problems navigating the tuner or using the buttons, etc. The boot up time is comparablec to my other tuners. I really like how you can reorder the different tunings. I play a number of different instruments and having the relevant sweetened tunings all at the top arranged in frequency of use is great. I have a number of other tuners: TC's Polytune Clip, Korg's Sledgehammer Pro, Planet Waves NS Micro, and a few Snarks. My previous favorite was the Sledgehammer Pro. It is the BEST tuner for the money - same .1 cent accuracy as Peterson, just no sweetened tunings. If you don't need sweetened tunings and just want a dead accurate, easy to read tuner, go for the Sledgehammer Pro or better yet the Sledgehammer Custom Shop (which took care of the fussy dial problem the original Pro had). They are less expensive and perform VERY well. I got a lovely early 90's Yairi 12 string and wanted to try a sweetened tuning. With the drop in price for the holiday season I thought I'd give this one a try. So glad I did! Works fantastic and the sweetened tuning helps this well-crafted 12 string sing especially well. Now this one is on my 12 string, a Pro is on my upright bass, and TC is on on whatever 6 string I'm playing most right now. The Snarks are only used when I go to an outside jam and don't want to take any chances of losing a nice tuner. The StroboClip HD is an especially good tuner for multi instrumentalists who are fussy about tuning.

Pretty good - will keep
I have used for years an IntelliTouch PT10 clip on tuner. It is pretty good at guitar capture but not so good on bass guitar low E string. I tried this tuner which is highly touted. It probably is a bit better at showing precise tuning on my guitar and the stopping the motion display is easy to use. The "sweetening" feature is totally silly in my opinion and using it, my chords sounded sour to my ears. I think probably this is nonsense. This tuner really was MUCH better at capturing and tuning the low E string of my bass guitar, For that reason I will keep it. Oh, the angling choices for seeing the tuner are MUCH better than my old one. The display is plenty bright. But I would be careful of the articulating arm. It looks a bit fragile and is connected by a tiny screw which I believe will need to be checked occasionally to see that it does not loosen and come apart. Overall the device is good even though it is expensive. EDIT 1/10/25: I have grown to really like its accuracy and ease of use on my guitar. The stopping the motion feature is very easy to use and seems much more accurate than my previous tuner. Now I would definitely recommend it.

Firstly I'm not going to go into great detail what this tuner is capable of doing as there are already a great many reviews out there. The USB connection socket on my device is a mini micro connection and the design of the unit was probably pre USB C. Many already know how fiddley this socket can be connecting to, and so easy to get the plug matched to the socket the wrong way around thus damaging the socket. A good way of making sure this never happens is to mark both plug and unit with a dab of quick drying nail polish. Not everyone realises that the USB plug itself usually has a raised USB symbol, moulded into the top of the USB plug. This will always face towards you when connecting to the unit which should also be facin towards you. Either mark the socket and plug, or purchase a USB Mini Micro to USB C adaptor. This particular machine i will say the instructions mention nothing about the USB connection, I failed to find anything that mentioned what connection it was. Staring down into the USB connection it was quite difficult to make out what socket it was because the socket was wonky and partly hidden where it had not been positioned correctly at the factory it was built/assembled. This was shoddy workmanship. Better instructions might be found at the vendors website, I haven't checked there personally but if you have a problem that is first port of call. Secondly for the price of the unit Peterson doesn't even include a USB lead!! If a unit is supplied with a USB connection then the company must always, always supply the lead in the box as standard. Its a little like supplying a unit with mains and not including the mains cable with the assumption many will already have the cable, "Do Not Make Assumptions" Constuction: Made of plastic, the actual stalk that the tuner display sits on, Prime Snap off Territory. Just take care with it as its liable to snap here if ever caught or hit on something when attached to the guitars headstock. "It is what it is" Guaranteed this will happen to someone. Otherwise yes its a brilliant tool as well for set ups, yes goes to sleep but wakes up soon as a string is tapped. Intonation tests with this are stable and perfect for this sort of set up recommended. No vibration or sound detected briefly the unit's display closes, but soon as it detects life the screen immediately responds. If left unused for say one minute the unit will switch off altogether to save on battery. It's easy to switch it back on. I trust with future units the USB Socket is changed out for a C connection as the lead can be connected up or down side. Shoddy workmanship on the USB socket, but overall a near good quality unit but definitely a good hands free strobe tuner.

Merci grandement .

Out of the box, the articulating arm was loose such that it would move due to gravity. Even upon tightening, it still does NOT inspire confidence. The arm feels very fragile. Tuning accuracy and response rate is top rate. But the weak arm gives me doubt that it will maintain sensitivity for long.
