The ingredients say artificial flavors; would that include sweeteners of any kind?

Based on some digging online from people who have emailed H&S, it seems that at least one of the flavorings is cinnamaldehyde, a pure version of an oil found in cinnamon and used to give cinnamon candies and cinnamon flavored gum a spicy, sweet flavor. It is possible that is what is the source of the sweetness. Because it is classified as a flavoring and not a sweetener, they can label it as a flavoring.

From their website this is a flavored black tea which come from China or India.

How similar is this to Hartley & Sons Hot Cinnamon Sunset tea?

I have not had the Hot Cinnamon Sunset tea but the Hot Cinnamon Spice has a very rich cinnamon flavor that develops with steeping. There are also hints of orange and clove and a slight sweetness. It is best when served as hot as you can drink it. Don't think it wold make a good iced tea.

Is there sugar in this tea? It's so sweet I wonder if it's been artificially sweetened.

It's not artificially sweetened...I think the sweetness comes from the orange peel, and sweet cloves.I love the Hot Cinnamon and their "Paris" tea equally ...it's hard to drink other teas after drinking Harney & Sons.
