I got new boots!
Great product. Easy to use. It's easy to apply and suede absorbs it nicely. I changed to color of these boots as they had to many stains and was about to donate them. Black suits them beautifully. One bottle covered one full boot and 2/3 of the second one, so I'm buying a second bottle. I think if they were short boots, one bottle would have been fine. I also need to get a more delicate brush to get in the edges of the suede and the sole.

SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST!
SUPPOSED TO BE THE BEST! I HAVEN'T USED IT YET, BUT WE'LL SEE. WELL, I USED IT TODAY. IT WENT ON EASILY, BUT THE COLOR IS NOT TAN. IT'S MORE ORANGE/RED. I'VE BEEN HOPING IT WOULD LIGHTEN TO TAN AS IT DRIED, BUT I DON'T SEE ANY EVIDENCE THAT THAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN. I'M WILLING TO DYE THE BELT AGAIN, BUT I WANT THE END RESULT TO BE A NICE SOFT TAN, NOT ORANGE/RED. WHAT COLOR DYE DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Revived my favorite shoes!
This product isn't perfect, and I can't say that I was very optimistic but overall I'm pleasantly surprised. These are my favorite shoes and Ive worn them at least once a week for the past 3 or 4 years. Being in quarantine and needing something to do, I decided to give them a wash. They looked pretty nice and clean when I scrubbed them down but when they dried...disaster. They looked like old man shoes. So I skimmed the internet for solutions. I know yellow suede is pretty hard to revive, and I watched a couple of videos of this product on YouTube but they were all for red or black suede, so I was nervous as to whether r not this product would bring my yellow kicks back to life. When the product arrived, the box said "leather dye" which upset me and I was ready to send it back, but thank goodness I actually looked at the product and it sure enough said suede on the bottle (weird packaging mishap I guess). The product also comes with a round fluffy "brush" (really its like a cottonball on wire) but I used a small paint brush instead. Much easier to control the product. I also only did one coat and I still have a little more than half left in the bottle. The first pick is the product, the second is the before, the third is one dyed shoe compared to the untreated shoe, and the last is the final results. Pros: - Will bring the color back - great for the price - pretty easy to use Cons: - Color may not be exact (but to each is own) - Consistency is super loose and liquidy - Leaves shoes a bit rougher than suede It's not perfect, some parts are a bit darker than others due to the liquid consistency overlapping parts you've already dyed, but all in all, I'm happy with the results and happy I done have too throw my shoes away!

The most BEAUTIFUL cobalt blue
This dye breathed new life into an old pair of adidas gazelles. They were originally a nice royal blue suede but over the last 3 years they have faded into a dull gray. This product completely restored them to the most brilliant blue - better than the original. This is the blue of my DREAMS. Yes, the dye is runny - because it’s dye, not paint. If you’ve ever used an aquarelle kit, this is the same watery consistency. Gorgeous color payoff after one coat, but I followed directions and did two. The shoes looked nearly black after application but dried down to the most brilliant, beautiful cobalt blue. The toes ended up slightly darker because they were kind of dark and dirty to begin with but I’m not mad about it as I didn’t take the time to deep clean them beforehand (I did go over them with an eraser and brush out the nap though). A word of caution: THIS STUFF WILL STAIN. Despite using painters tape on the bits I didn’t want to turn blue, I ended up getting a fair amount of drips on the white stripes and the soles. I was able to soak some bits of paper napkins in bleach (scrubbing bubbles foaming bleach, to be exact) squeeze out the excess and press them onto the stains like plaster. After they dried, I peeled them off and the stains were gone. I had to repeat this on a couple of really dark stains but in the end they all came out. The foaming bleach also took out the blue stains in my white sink after I stupidly tried to rinse out the little wool applicator and inadvertently turned my sink blue. So, bleach does work on non-porous and semi-porous surfaces. However, if you drip this on clothes I don’t think any amount of bleach will save you. All in all - EXCELLENT product when used correctly. 10/10 Highly recommend.

The pink is awful!
I'll be honest - I'm not sure what happened here. I bought the blue last month and it worked perfectly. I was super happy with it. So this month, I bought the pink for the same exact material that I also needed dyed. It was a huge MESS. I did everything the same as the blue - shook the bottle, did light layers, worked it into the material in light, small circles. I gave it 2.5 days to dry before touching, with it hanging up so it didn't touch anything and could dry evenly. When I touched it again, it was a mess. There was a white film that was invading and staining all the vinyl pieces that weren't the doe suede, and touching the fabric made the dye and white film coat my hands even though it was dry. It felt awful. I had to wash my hands, wash the vinyl as much as I could (still stained in a weird white), and then I washed and washed the fabric to get out as much of the dye as I could. I'm not sure what to do now - I used most of the bottle on the amount of fabric I was dyeing, and now I'm left with a mostly-undyed fabric, stained vinyl, and almost no dye to try again. I'm assuming whatever the white they use to make the pink wasn't blending properly into the color, despite repeatedly shaking the bottle well. It looked split when I was putting it on, but knowing it was shaken well, there wasn't much left for me to do but hope it worked. It didn't.

With some prep, they look like new!!
I actually washed my boots in the washing machine, let them dry, brush them many times prior to applying the black suede dye. I did three coats, over a period of a few days. I would recommend purchasing two bottles. I am very satisfied with the results!!

My light grey suede trainers had been ruined in the mud, and the colour was terrible after I cleaned them. With this suede colour I made them look as good as new! I used a small paint brush for fiddly bits like around the shoelace holes and a bigger brush for the rest. Super easy to use. Highly recommended.
