I am a fan of Now products and have been using multiple products of there through out this specific is for stress relief which does help I have been taking 1 once as needed and it does help with my stress and keep me calm my heart is not racing any more .

My daughter's psychiatrist recommended ashwagandha to help her sleep. Unfortunately, these capsules were too large for her to swallow. Since I'd already bought them, I thought I'd try them and I don't have trouble sleeping, but read they were good for stress, and I was totally shocked to find they do work! I have anxiety and just a lot going on in my life right now, so my shoulders are often tense. I don't know how this stuff works, but somehow when I take it, I'm just more relaxed in stressful situations than I normally would be. After taking it for about a week, the effect wasn't as noticeable, so now I just take it when I know I'm going to have a really busy or stressful day. When I researched ashwagandha, one thing I read said it might not be safe for your liver for long term use, so I'll just take it as needed and not daily. I honestly was shocked that I could tell that it did anything the first time I took it. I've never had any supplement do that, ever.

This is a great sleep and anxiety supplement. It is subtle, but has nice calming and sleep-promoting effects I notice within around 45 minutes of taking it. Taking this plus melatonin before bed has made a big difference in my sleep quality and the number of times I wake throughout the night. Here is my breakdown of the formulation: **150mg Lactium - Clinically studied milk peptides, has shown benefits for stress, anxiety, and sleep quality at 150mg per day. **300mg Ashwagandha extract (2.5% withanolides) - The good is that this uses a standardized ashwagandha extract, but the bad is that it isn't a patented or clinically studied formulation, and 2.5% withanolides is weaker than a lot of the popular ashwagandha extracts like Sensoril or KSM-66. Thoughts: It's a great sleep supplement. I'm a little disappointed that they didn't go with a clinically studied ashwagandha extract. There are a number of ashwagandha extracts that have been proven to improve sleep quality (Shoden, Sensoril, etc) - so they could have really supercharged this supplement if they went with one of those. But the Lactium milk peptides is very well studied, and has shown great efficacy in studies. Overall this is a solid formulation and has worked well to improve my sleep quality and stress levels.
