Great taste

Delayed shipping, spoiled product
The product is supposed to be refrigerated. It wass order on July 23 and arrived today (August 14) Although the packing looked good, the product was warm. I am sure it is spoiled and will not risk eating it. I would still like to receive this product. Could a new package be sent overnight mail?

Excellent Quality
Product arrived quickly. Shipped USPS priority included with Prime shipping. Expiration date June 2024. Product was cool to the touch on arrival. Very happy. Will order again. Would not do this in summer.

Arrived a little late
Arrived a little late - bad for something refrigerated !! Tastes great though.

Why it's not in the. supermarkets anymore.
I love the herring but the price is very steep. I bought it many times within the past and it used to be 6.99. But the stores don't sell it anymore. I always got it at Whole Foods.

Craving was satisfied, but search continues.
I grew up having matjes herring on Sunday mornings and missed that taste and texture lately. I searched for the fillets but couldn't find them. I was surprised to see this product packaged in small, cut-up pieces in a jar. When the package arrived, I was a little skeptical because the jars were cool, but not cold. I immediately refrigerated the jars and finally tasted the product the next morning. The herring tasted fine and fortunately I didn't get ill. Although I'll always crave matjes herring, I will not reorder this product because a 5 day transit duration is way too long for their packaging method. Just too risky. In addition, I also thought their price was a bit high for 3 little jars.

Ordered this herring 7 times before
I just love it! It’s a real treat. The price went up instead of down. Just wish the seller would PLEASE LOWER his price on Amazon. Thanks Marlene
