Great watch depending on your needs. Don't buy for sleep tracking, IMO.
I've owned this watch for almost a year now. Do I regret it? Absolutely not! This watch has literally changed my life. I'll just start out with the bad. IMO, don't buy this watch for sleep tracking. I think its sleep sensing capability is complete BS. My watch will regularly state that I'm sleeping when I am wide eyed awake at 3 a.m. in the morning. It's so unreliable, that it makes me doubt the entire smart watch industry for sleep tracking. It's a good thing I didn't buy this watch for sleep tracking because I would have been terribly unhappy. So why did I give the watch 5 stars? It's because everything else about the watch has been terrific. And considering it's affordable price, continued free application and watch updates/improvements throughout the year, downloadable apps, GPS tracking, heart rate recording, incredible battery life, etc., I consider it to be the best smartwatch on the market in this price range. The heart rate recording could be more reliable. I have been on the treadmill at times when I know for sure the heart rate sensor on the watch is not recording correctly. It's usually related to dirty (or sweaty) sensor on the back of the watch. But it can also be that I didn't have the watch tight enough or that it was in a strange position on my wrist. Cleaning underneath the watch, moving the watch location on my wrist, or tightening up the band all seem to help get the sensor back on track. It's an annoyance. But I imagine this is going to be the case with most every smartwatch brand and is unrelated to the actual watch itself. The GPS tracking is top notch! Love it. I also love the visualization on my hiking history on the included app. It will color code the trail based on the speed I was traveling when I hiked. It will also record and show my heart rate on a chart all throughout the hiking. The feature that's changed my life is the PAI capability. PAI (Physiological Activity Indicator) is an intuitive algorithm that evaluates multi-dimensional personal physiological data measured by the watch. It converts this data into a easy to understand PAI value or score. The score is based on the HUNT Fitness Study. According to the study, keeping your PAI above 100 will help reduce the death risk of cardiovascular disease, and increase your life expectancy. I have changed my workout to maximize my PAI score. And in doing so have lost 35 lbs of fat in the last year. I've learned a lot about my health, what was causing my lack of results before, and am thankful to the makers of this watch for opening my eyes to it all. Plus, I feel a whole lot better. In summary, for the health conscious, this is a great watch to consider. It's very tough (for outdoor sports and adventures) and long lasting (battery). If you are looking for a watch to help you track your sleep, ehh, better look elsewhere--not sure if sleep tracking is accurate for any watch.

Amazing Watch!!!!
First of all, I love the ranger green color, it is definitely a favorite color of mine. This watch has performed so so well. I enjoy being able to track my steps and sleep. I am surprised how accurate it was with my sleep time and when I had to get up during the night for when my son or puppy woke up. This watch is surprisingly durable. I have smacked it on the corners of countertops, door frames, etc. and there is no scratch on it!!! I am thoroughly impressed with it. I did take it into the shower which had no issues, but the problem is moisture gets stuck in the crevices of the band so it's hard to thoroughly dry. I would just take it off before you get in. Now the battery life, it is amazing!!!! I love having a watch that I don't need to worry about the battery life. I typically get 20 days (5% a day) so when the low battery notification comes on at 10% I have 2 days to charge it. The watch also charges up to full in like 2 hours. This watch is perfect for me. It looks awesome. Works great absolutely no issues. Battery life is phenomenal. Great features on the watch. I would highly highly recommend purchasing this watch if you are looking for something like this.

Simply amazing for the price
The battery, speed, features, durability, clarity, and accuracy are outstanding. You cannot beat the price and quality of this watch. The battery is as good as they say it is. If you use it constantly through the day for various things it will not last the full two weeks but it is still much better than any smart watch I’ve owned. I’m on day 3 now and at 74% battery using it a lot. I’ve fiddled with it through the days using it as often as I can. The OS is smooth and runs very snappy. Running a timer and the stopwatch while using a compass? No problem! Some of the free watch faces have the ability to allow you to go directly to various apps on the device or tells you what is running or if Bluetooth is being actively used. Too many features to go through in a review here but it has plenty of information. There are some watch faces that provide you with tons of useful information. Metrics, date, weather, moon phases, barometric pressure, rain warning, sun rise/set, alarms, screen lock, humidity, etc.. it’s a lot. It’s durability seems to be really good. It is plastic so it’s very light but still feels very solid. I haven’t felt like it’s going to break if I bang it on something (which I have and it is unscathed). The band I think is great but I did see where some people have broken there’s. No worries though because there are replacement bands through AmazFit and aftermarket; I bought an elastic breathable band and replacement was easy. UNSCREW THE LEFT SIDE (side with up and down buttons) ONLY! Otherwise you’ll strip the tool. It requires a special tool so make sure the band you order has the tool to remove the screws. Overall the quality is outstanding. Screen clarity, resolution, and readability in the sun is amazing. It will adjust screen brightness automatically depending on the lighting around you. Colors are vivid. And finally accuracy of the metrics for health and sleep seem reliable. I’m not a health nut so I don’t need it to be 100%. That said it tracks on par with Fitbit and various other watches I’ve used. The graphs and layout of information is very in depth yet easy to read. Sleep tracking seems to be very accurate and comes with an optional subscription to allow ai enhanced ambient sounds customized to your sleep pattern. It learns what helps you sleep better and shuts off at the appropriate time and uses a smart alarm the wake you up slowly within 30 minutes of your set alarm. So not to wake you abruptly. This is a game changer for the price and I’m grateful I chose to try out this watch. As long as Amazfit keeps doing what they’re doing, they have me as a customer for life. 5/5 stars!

Long Battery Life and great price.
My place of work started a Fitness Competition, so I decided it was time to get a new smart watch to track my fitness activities. I decided to buy the T-Rex2. WHAT I LIKE: - Looks great. It looks like a sports watch, which is my preference. - Battery Life is great. I have turned on all the features and the battery lasts almost a week before having to recharge. I do outdoor biking, and mountain biking 5-6 days of the week. - The Zepp app that pairs with the watch is responsive and easy to use. The information is clear and easy to understand. - Syncing the Zepp app with the watch is fast. I was previously using a Fitbit versa2, and that took 10 times longer to sync using the same phone. - The GPS is pretty accurate. Certainly more accurate then my Fitbit versa2. - The price is quite competitive. I paid $200 with coupon. For the price this watch is a great value. - The screen on the watch is responsive and not sluggish like other watches I've used such as the Fitbit versa2. - There are some decent looking free "skins" you can download to the watch. (image attached). There also skins you can purchase. I like contrast, as well as having all the info viewable on the watch. However you can also use skins that only show time for example. - It is comfortable to wear. Although it has a decent sized screen, it is still quite lightweight. I do not feel like I am wearing a big ol watch. It doesn't get in the way of any of my activities. WHAT I DON'T LIKE (or could use improvement): - Support with other applications / devices is not quite there. This is my biggest issue. For example. The Fitness Competition App my work uses can be paired with a whole host of applications such as google fit, fitbit, applefit etc.. The Zepp app was not supported. Although I cannot confirm, I suspect you will probably not be able to pair Zepp with other devices such as power output monitoring devices many people use on their bikes. - Other features outside of GPS such as the sleep app are not the most accurate. It will give you a decent ball park figure, but if you want to be as accurate as possible you will probably need to look at a much more expensive Garmin that has more sensors. - The band appears to be attached via a non standard screw. My watch watch did not come with a screw driver that I could find. There are custom bands available on the Amazefit website, so I can only assume that when you purchase one it will come with the right screw driver. (image attached). CONCLUSION: The watch is great, especially for the price. The Zepp app is pretty good, however it could use better cross support with other applications and devices. I am happy with the purchase and have since bought an Amazefit watch for my girlfriend. If you are into fitness however not ultra serious about the data collection, this is a great watch for you. If you are a professional athlete or very serious about data collection, you will probably need to look at a $700 Garmin most likely. Cheers, and happy hunting.

Battery life is false. Didn't come with a real manual.
Great watch, truly is water resistant, for all the events I enjoy it life. Mostly life proof at that too. I'm a huge gshock fan, tried and true. This watch fit my expectations. The battery life isn't even remotely right. I think the only way you get the 20 days is if you take it off and don't touch it. Only on Standby. I exercise or run or something the heart rate tracker comes on and stays on, which devours battery life. I will likely turn the auto exercise off and see how long it really lasts, since right now, with that active I only average about 7 days. I exercise daily for a couple hours each day. Not counting the rest of movements through the day. Watch came with regulations in pretty much all languages. The manual was non existent. I had to look one up online to get it to shut up about idle time. I wish the watch had a 1 button lock. Instead of a menu slide then find the lock icon. The app is fun at first, but then you tinker with it a bit much and it seems to have some spots where there are issues. Nothing major, just odd locations for certain things when you hunt them down. Otherwise, mostly user friendly. There is a lot, a lot, of stuff in the app and on the watch. I am still working through everything a couple weeks later. All in all, definitely worth the money, battery lasts longer than either of the big companies, still. App has a bunch of stuff, only thing I can't do is call, and that may just be a permission thing that I haven't found yet. Note: lock the screen before washing hands or shower or even getting in the rain. Water will flip the menus and stuff.

A great watch for an average user
I’ve been using this watch for about 4 months and so far I really love this watch! Its not perfect and I’ll point out the flaws but it definitely has a lot of pros that has made me love the watch. Lets start with the cons: - sometimes it looses connection to my iPhone 13 and ill have to either restart the watch or restart my phone to reestablish the connection - The watch face store isn’t the best, I can’t find what I favorite and one of the purchases I made can’t upload the face to my watch - Very important: some watch faces consume too much battery due to animation they play or all of the information they display. This isn’t disclosed when you purchase The watch face which i wish it was because the battery life is important To me. - Cant answer emails, can only read. - Does not make any noise, only vibrates - Can’t answer calls, you only get the option to decline the calls The pros: - battery life!!! Pay attention to the watch face you choose because some of them say that they are battery intensive. Longest I’ve had the battery last on a normal watch face is 24 days! Vs 17 days on a battery intensive watch face. - Its very sturdy and solid. Ive banged it against hard places a few times and have not damaged the watch at all. - Waterproof. I’ve showered with it, and gone swimming both in a pool and in the ocean and it works perfectly. - The functionality. I work in the IT world and the functionalities work fine for me. I use the vibration to wake me up, (very strong), I use the notifications to read emails and receive calls, I use it to check the weather, I use the steps, and i check my heart rate. For the average user, it gets the job done perfectly. Over all as an average user, I’m extremely happy with my purchase. I never used an apple watch so i cant really compare it. I’ve had some hybrid watches and i would say this watch is far superior in comparison to those.

What you get for the price is amazing!
First, you can change the language from Chineese to English in 2 seconds as soon as you download the app. I returned a Garmin phoenix 6 because it didn't do what I wanted. Instead of telling you what I couldn't do with another watch, let me tell you what I can do with this one. for the price of the navigation ware app (just a couple of dollars "android only"), I have my dream motorcycle GPS. It connects to the phones navigation and provides turn by turn direction to the wrist, with vibrational warnings of upcoming turns. No bulky, very expensive GPS attached to my handle bars and then has to be taken with me everywhere. This watch would be awesome at more than twice the price (which is what I paid for a refurbished Phoenix 6), but at this price I almost want to buy 2 LOL! All the other functions are great as well, like all the health, exercise, and sleep statistics. WOW, they took the best of fitness watches and match it up with the best of GPS watches. I do need the phone for Turn by Turn unless I upload a pre-map to the watch (don't bother), but is it a great functional GPS, without being attached to the phone. I can get my longitude, latitude, and elevation at anytime without the phone. Other great apps like a compass etc. You can turn things down for very long battery life, but I have them all turned up! Even then it is days between charges There is another GPS phone to watch guidance app I will try next. I did have to factory default the watch once when it lost communications with my phone and I couldn't get it back, but it was very easy to do from the watch menu. Still a very happy customer!

Good Watch, Nutty Algorithm
You get what you pay for, sort of. Yes, this watch is ridiculously cheap for all the promised specs. And it delivers most of its promise... I can't really complain about the construction, they didn't cut too many corners, and it looks pretty decent. My big gripe, and the reason I returned the thing, is that where a competitor brand fitness watch will track your stats and use an algorithm to build a model that fits your health, this watch looks at models of healthy people, and then tries to fit your stats into them--and is fully capable of ignoring your stats to do so. For example, I have a low resting heart rate as a result of the unholy amount of cardio I do (when I wake up in the mornings it's typically in the high 30s, has been for years). Where my fitbit watch will log my night and day resting heartrates and give me a total average in the 40s, the zepp watch projects a resting heartrate in the 50s, then tells me I maintained that heartrate while I slept. Manually taking readings yields accurate results in the low 40s or high 30s, when checked against another watch or a blood pressure monitor I keep at home, but the watch still insists I'm in the mid to high 50s when I just let it do its own thing. As a result, the app has difficulty figuring out when I'm doing exercise or not, and what my peak values are. And I have seen strong indicators that it manufactures high readings to balance out my lower ones during resting hours, to keep my fit within the predicted model. I have to return the thing, and would recommend the same for anybody else who has an outlier heart rate--but it probably works fine for somebody with more normal stats.
