Mosaic Mercantile Mosaic Grout Sealer, 8 oz.

This is the ONLY sealer I will use on my mosaics. It leaves a high gloss finish that really pulls the piece together l, especially when using glossy Talavera tiles like I do. See photos of completed mosaics to see what the finished (dried) product looks like. Also, you only need a small amount for each piece, one bottle has lasted me a few years, making approximately 15 cow skull mosaics.

Perfect.

This stuff puts a rubbery, white layer over mosaic tile -- doesn't dry clear -- and it's a nightmare to get off glass mosaic tiles. Complete waste of money and difficult to remove after you realize it's not a clear penetrating sealer as advertised. Still picking up the tiny sticky pieces of rubber around the backsplash and on the floor after I rubbed it off. If they had zero stars this would get a minus 1.

What the direction do not tell you is that you must wipe this off the tiles within a couple minutes of using it, or else it makes a horrible film on the tiles that is very difficult to remove. I let the product seep into the grouting one part at a time, then scrubbed the tiles with a damp rag. It worked much better that time! Now for the test of time to see if it seals the grouting well on my flower pots....

The sealer went on well and wasn't difficult to wipe off tile. Thus didn't leave a film.

Went on well, can't tell you how well it works till something is spilled on it. Try to keep it on the grout line. Anything that comes onto the tile will have to be wiped off since it will leave a film. I used a brush to apply it.

Just sealed it, it definitely needs to be wiped off immediately, I did that after reading the reviews and still have a hard to remove film! I will use nail polish remover in a few hours or tomorrow to see if it takes it off like another person did. We will see how well that works. Kinda annoyed but it looks like it sealed the grout really well.
