I have purchased two of these for my husband who has a tracheostomy. They fit well and keep water out of his trach. I have tried several other brands and none of them were waterproof as well as this one. He is very satisfied with this product. it does wear out in about 12 months, but is used twice a day, every day. Will purchase again.

Bought this after my husband’s mouth surgery. It prevents liquids from spilling on his shirt. I bought a second one as a spare. It does the job but it’s too small and only covers a small area so I found a bigger adult bib. It’s made of terry cloth and it covers most of my husband’s shirt. He puts the smaller bib on top of it to keep the liquid off.

This item works great, and is well made. After some use it seems to have stretched out a bit, and I it has to be put on a bit tighter.

Did not work for me. The material was cold when wet. Brrrrrrrrr However, it did work ok, just a personal preference that I did not care for it. Works fine!

Like the texture and fit. After larynx surgery this works well.

This collar works OK to keep shower spray out of my trach as long as I don't get it too wet. The underside of the collar has a thin layer of foam padding and water will run down my skin underneath the collar and saturate this foam if I stand in the water too long. Once this happens, the collar becomes heavy wet and sticks to my neck and upper chest like one of those lead aprons they use at the dentist. Not only does this close off my trach making it hard to breathe, but when I do breathe I suck in the water that's absorbed in the foam. If you have a trach and have sucked in water then you know how dangerous this can potentially be. Overall, the collar works pretty good if I'm careful to limit the time I have my head and neck under the water. It's certainly better than no type of shower cover, at all. I would purchase again but the manufacturer really needs to eliminate or improve the foam backing on the collar.

Good his shower bib is most convenient and helpful. I have used it with my inner cannula and was uncomfortable breathing. I then used it and removed the inner cannula for my comfortability. I would say use it with what best works for you. I would say that if you are welling your hair just to be mindful of the length of time and get assistance while washing your hair to make sure your tracheotomy isn’t plugged or getting any water or soap in it.

The opening for the neck is much too big to be of much use and, unfortunately, there are no size options. The opening is so large that it doesn't make a snug fit and water easily gets to the tracheostomy tube where it can be inhaled. The material is so flimsy that it sticks to my tracheostomy tube like a valve when I breathe in and it cuts of my breathing altogether until I pull it off again. Finally, the velcro fastenings can accidentally attach firmly to my tracheostomy collar and it's difficult to remove without disturbing the collar and tube making me cough. All in all not a great product and probably quite unsafe.
