Well made, happy with purchase.
Love this knife, sharp right out of the box, easy to sharpen if needed. Heavy, well built, I fore see this lasting a lifetime. It is a strong knife, better than the hunting knife I bought.

Good knife at a good price, a little too big.
What's not to love? Good German steel, very sharp, good design and balance and at a good price. I like the steel bolster with fingerguard. At 4" plus it is a bit bigger then what I wanted, prefer 3" to 3.5" blades on my paring knives. Still, I can deal with it for a knife of this quality for everyday use.

Heavy, sharp, quality craftsmanship
I bought these to replace a set of cheap, smaller pairing knives with fragile plastic handles which we wore out using them for everything - streak knives, pairing knives, dinner knives, cutting up raw chicken and raw vegetables, etc. These are extremely sharp and sturdy, and the craftsmanship is excellent. The hilt feels very good and solid in the hands. The drawback that I was not expecting but would have realized if I had paid more attention is that the hilt is very heavy. Almost too heavy, and with the light, thin, blade it means they are not well balanced. They still work well, especially for my bigger hands, but they can be a bit much for my wife's smaller hands. For the price, they are an excellent buy.

I wanted something heavy & sharp but...
I frankly wasn't prepared for how beautiful this knife is; it's a pleasure to hold & use. I use it mainly to cut frozen string beans to put in soup. I tend to keep my knives dull because I'm clumsy & tend to cut myself so a dull knife does less harm to me. The problem with that theory is, dull knives either don't cut frozen string beans at all or, when I finally do succeed in cutting through the frozen string bean (as I apply more & more forearm & wrist strength) a suddenly severed section of string bean will oftentimes go shooting off the plate at high speed to either disappear entirely from this universe (so far as I can tell) or end up on the floor at least five feet away. So, something sharp and heavy seemed to be the answer. When I went to one good housewares store, all the knives had thin plastic handles with thin blades sharp as razors & I could see in my mind's eye that there would be blood, my very own, soon to be seen amongst the string beans if I bought one of those deadly weapons lying in wait on the counter of that store. This knife is 1. heavy 2. sharp but 3. the blade is thick- not a razor. It's a pleasure to use, because it's heavy & sharp I don't press down hardly at all & I don't have to saw & I also haven't bled once. Pieces of severed string beans are no longer flying out of the universe from my kitchen nor littering the floor. It also cuts meat well & tomatoes too. It's a full tang knife; it's a pleasure to use & to look at too as it sits there quietly beautiful.

Great 4 inch knife
They call these paring knives but I find I use it for many things. We bought a bunch of 4 inch paring knives to find one we liked best. This Oaksware is a very good knife. It sits well in the hand, it is very sharp, it is easy to use and it seems to be a very high quality product. We have a lot of the high dollar knives but I find I use this one the most. We have bought other sizes as well after trying this one.

el cuchillo está hermoso y se ve muy resistente, bien hecho, pero el filo no es lo que dice en la descripción. Apenas llevo un día de uso y para cortar un jitomate tuve que encajar la punta porque no cortaba.
