I picked this up on a lightning deal at just the right time and price. This is the 2nd drive I have bought from here. It works really well and plenty fast read and write speeds. Perfect for upgrading an older laptop with a core i7 and can only take a 2.5inch drive. The first drive I bought from here was also installed in one of my older laptops that predates mSata or NVME. I have come to really like PNY products and have bought many of their usb flash drives in the past as well, they are the best working drives I still use daily.

Great little budget ssd for an old laptop that came with a spinning HDD, much improved boot time and overall snappiness. I don't know if these have any cache, which you usually get with the more expensive models but either way it smacks around a sata HDD on all performance metrics.

Replaced an older laptop hard drive (from an HP Pavilion laptop) with this PNY SSD. Plug-ins on the SSD and my hard drive were the same (as displayed on the Amazon site), and I had no issues with the installation of both the SSD and Windows. I read that some manufacturers provide a spacer, to fill in the extra space in the hard drive's drive bay; the PNY did not provide such a spacer. Was able to find a spacer on Amazon that did the job.Post installation: boot-up of the laptop with the PNY SSD seemed fast.

It works very fast but then it slows down a lot after about 250gb of data copied.

it made my moms old computer much much faster. it plugged right in and is made well from a reputable manufacturer. you will need to do some configuring with software but just about any pc is compatible. extremely highly recommended

Works great, son needed a new drive to expand his storage capacity and this fit the bill. Arrived and 5 mins later he was up and running!.

Upgrade my old PC with this one and boy it is fast, it's reliable, and the price is the best around for the ssds
