That is exactly what I wanted for my older Chevy Colorado. Well packaged with a long stick inserted into the plastic sleeve to prevent the decal from getting folded or mashed, which was a thoughtful touch. Once the area was cleaned I applied a length of 1" painter's tape near the bottom edge of the tailgate where I wanted the decal to rest. I didn't measure anything - I just "eyeballed" it to align with the Colorado emblem on the left side. Peeled off the backing from the decal and spritzed the decal and the painted area with some soapy water to facilitate placement. The decal glided into place and I began to push the tiny air bubbles out to the edges from the middle to the sides. It was really slippery but rested just right on the painter's tape. Once in place I slowly removed the paper layer from the face of the decal and stepped back to have a look - there were still some tiny bubbles visible. Using my small plastic scraper (with a dull edge) I managed to make those little bubbles disappear, but doing so caused the decal to move slightly on the painted surface. Another spritz of soapy water allowed me nudge it into its final resting place - and I was satisfied. I put a fan on the area from about five feet away to speed the drying process and snapped the photo. In the image you may be to see the drips of soapy water on the bottom edge of the tailgate. The decals seem like good quality. Very easy to install and we will see how long they last. My only gripe is that they are not cut square. When you watch the installation video, it tells you to measure to the bottom of the decal while it is still affixed to the backer. This makes perfect sense IF the backer was cut true and square. Even though I measured perfectly, my decals came out slightly crooked by following their direction. If you purchase this, measure the actual LETTERING and not the backer that the decal is affixed to.
