Gaiam Restore Deep Tissue Massage Roller

If you’re looking for something to roll out your legs, your glutes and your lower back this works very well. You can get in deep and having more specific intent than with the big foam rollers. I have recommended them to many people and everyone has loved it. It is much stronger and sturdier than most other ones I have tried.

I was worried that the foam might be too squishy to be effective, as I've seen this complaint in other reviews, but it's definitely firm enough to give a good, relaxing massage. I especially like that the foam is soft enough that it doesn't hurt if you accidentally run it over bone. I've even used it on my head, and it feels fantastic! It also feels wonderful on my feet and neck. My mom loves it for her feet as well and uses it when she's sitting at her desk. I prefer to use it over clothing, but it can be used on bare skin as well. It seems to be very well made. I'd highly recommend this for anyone who finds the harder plastic rollers to be too painful. If this one ever wears out, I'll buy another one immediately if they're still making them! (Please, Gaiam, don't stop making them!!)

I bought because of the foam material, but then after a trip to academy and feeling the differences in material I realized I wanted something that penetrate a little better when rolling. I will say too, I was hoping I could wory shoulders a little better, but will have to invest in a massage ball or floor roller. A longer handle would work better for that, so if you're on the fence due to the length of the handle I would invest in something with a longer handle or go with a floor roller to hit the right spots. All in all, good material and quality, just not what I need at this time.

This is such a great product and great for working out adhesión in the muscles. Easy to use on the legs, thighs, low back and buttocks. I’ve even been able to do a little work I. Upper neck and back. I have 70% improvement of knee pain I’ve had for a year, working muscles around knee and lower leg, shin, and quads and hamstrings. I’ve given this as a gift and recommended this for clients.

I’ve tried two other rollers for my thighs and calves, and this one is the best. It has little nodules to get into the muscles and it offers just enough pressure to be comfortable, rather than harsh. I’ve found all Gaiam products to be the best to use.

The roller felt comfortable while it worked. It broke after a few months of use and I threw it away. I will not buy it again.

My therapeutic massage therapist suggested this for relieving plantar fasciitis by rolling it on the calves. It is easy to use and just the right amount of stiffness. I use it on my thigh for IT band relief and on my hip.

This device works as intended. The ball bearings provide smooth non binding operation. I also prefer the dense foam to the hard plastic found in some other competing devices.
