Sturdy, nice comfortable handle, does the job well. I have a small home and another electrical appliance would just be in the way. This worked out very well for us to mash potatoes.

Good for making berry jams

I learned that black plastic utensils could be a very bad thing in the kitchen, and my former potato masher was of a black nylon sort. To be on the safe side, I replaced it with this stainless steel one, and I'm pleased. The potato masher does what it's supposed to: it mashes taters. It feels sturdy in the hand, and the silicone wrap on the handle is comfy.

This masher looks to be decently made but it is larger than I was expected, so it will not fit in my kitchen-drawer so I have to hang it :-( I am not a fan of having items hanging on my walls because they are then exposed to flying insects and dirt. I take the blame for not taking the given measurements and comparing them to my drawer's, so will keep this implement but just not as pleased with it as I normally am with my purchases. I have not actually used it yet, I just ordered it for when I would next need a masher since my old one is almost worn out.

I find this oval shape very awkward and the handle has very sharp edges on the metal.
