It has the same % of active ingredients as Vick's, but smells different. It almost smells minitier and with a tinge of fresh pine that I think comes from the cedarleaf oil. Unlike Vicks, Vaporex leaves a tingly sensation on your skin. It also feels less waxy on the skin compared to Vicks. It melted into my skin and was hardly noticeable. Vicks usually leaves that oily film on your skin. Vicks is a bit heavier and the spicy smell of the camphor is stronger. I'm not sure which one I prefer, but I find I use Vaporex more than Vicks now. The light and fresher scent is nice for Spring allergy season.

This works as well as the old formula of Vicks. I’m so disappointed that. Vick’s changed its formula…it doesn’t smell the same or work very well. This Vaporex does the trick. I’ve had a bad head cold and at night I slather this on my neck and chest and snooze away. It’s really amazing. It soothes cough, relaxes you, and clears up congestion at least for a while so you can sleep. I’m very happy to recommend the product.
