Great product!
I am very happy with this purchase. The first thing that impressed me was the care that went into the packaging. It was a box within a box, padded with foam sheets, corners wrapped with plastic protectors, well protected! Once all the packaging was removed the next thing I noticed was just the general appearance and look of quality, the paint finish was excellent, handle was very solid, none of the Phillips screw heads were stripped, the thing just looked really well made. Next as far as operating it, the functions were not entirely intuitive, I mean it was obvious how to turn it on but I did have to refer to the manual to make sure I understood the other functions. Fortunately the manual was clearly written so it was easy enough to figure out the rest once I had scanned it. After setting the desired humidity level, 50% in my case, I let it do it’s thing and shortly the water was practically pouring out of the gravity drain in my case, since I am not using the pump function. The unit has been cycling on and off since then just as it should and the humidity level in the space I placed it within has been steady. It is just slightly louder than I was expecting but still quiet enough that it hasn’t disrupted anyone’s sleep at night. Maybe just a small bit louder than a typical refrigerator. Fortunately the hum it makes is not annoying, so it’s fine. All told, it appears to be well built, the warranty registration was easy to do, and it functions exactly as advertised. So far a great product!

Efficient Moisture Control for Challenging Spaces
I recently invested in the Abestorm Crawl Space Dehumidifier to address the humidity issues in my home's crawl space and basement areas. This unit, boasting a substantial 70 PPD (pints per day) moisture removal capacity and an Energy Star rating for efficiency, has significantly improved the air quality and comfort levels in my home. The compact design of this dehumidifier makes it ideal for tight spaces like crawl spaces or basements where traditional units are too bulky. Despite its size, it's incredibly powerful and effective at maintaining an optimal humidity level, preventing the growth of mold and mildew, which can cause health issues and structural damage. One of the best features of this dehumidifier is the built-in pump and included hose, which allows for continuous drainage without the need for emptying a water bucket. This is a fantastic feature for places like crawl spaces where access can be limited. The pump efficiently moves water out, meaning the system can operate unattended for extended periods, which is a huge plus for busy homeowners. However, while the dehumidifier performs well, it's worth noting that it can be somewhat noisy when the pump activates. It's not overly disruptive, but if your living spaces are directly above the installation area, you might hear it during its operation. Overall, the Abestorm Crawl Space Dehumidifier with Pump and Hose is a robust tool for managing humidity in hard-to-reach and confined areas. Its energy efficiency, effective moisture control, and hassle-free operation make it a top choice for homeowners looking to protect their property from moisture-related issues.

Works as it should and the pump is quiet
My older dehumidifier was icing up and would never get our basement under 60% humidity. I decided to get a commercial grade unit but didn’t want to break the bank. This unit has performed great and keeps our basement humidity levels where I want them. The unit cycles on and off at set point and I setup the pump to drain in our sump pump hole about 12’ away. The pump is very quiet. I highly recommend!

Fantastic Dehumidifier - No regrets
Works great and heavy-duty commercial grade, made of metal and not plastic. I use the gravity drain in my basement, but the pump feature is nice if you need it. I like that there is no bucket since almost no one uses a bucket anyway, it keeps the size smaller. The case of Merv filters that were free with this purchase was a nice bonus. I expect it to last a long time. I got frustrated with the residential grade dehumidifiers lasting 6-24 months (been through 5 of them in the last 8 years all different brands) and having to send them to the landfill because these are considered not repairable by the manufacturer. You can't even get parts for them if you want to fix it yourself. I don't expect to have any problems with this unit as it seems rock solid. However, if you look on the Abestorm website you will find that you can order parts for this unit should the need arise.

There are 2 versions of this
I haven't installed this yet, but ran into an issue. The website shows the SN55s as having wireless. Half true. There's the wireless version they show, and the non-wireless they don't show. I thought I was buying the wireless version, but no it isn't and it isn't upgradeable to wireless. if you want remote control you have to buy the wired remote. The wireless version shows with a cellphone in the ad. If it doesn't show that, it's just a dumb machine. Not meaning to put this one down, I'm sure it's a fine machine so i'm keeping it and installing it. Just watch what the description says.
