I eat the non-chocolate bars of this brand because of they are plant-based, have good protein for their size, and have an impressive nutritional profile and ingredients list. But, they were always something I ate out of commitment to my health and not because of their taste. However, I took my first bite of these cacao-covered bars, and they instantly became my first choice out of the protein bars I keep in my cupboard. The texture (not taste) actually reminds me of a peanut and caramel bar, because it’s a satisfying bite and then a good consistency for chewing. I liked them so much, I bought a box to give everyone a bar in their stocking for Christmas!

I’ve tried a ton of energy and protein bars over the years, but Plusbar really surprised me. I was expecting something super “green” and earthy tasting (you know the kind), but this actually tastes great—like real food, not cardboard with protein powder dusted on top. What I really like is that it doesn’t just give me a sugar spike and crash. The energy feels clean and steady, probably because of that green superfood blend they talk about. I’ll grab one in the morning if I’m running late, or before a workout, and it actually holds me over. Definitely feels like I’m giving my body something good instead of just snacking. Will be ordering more for sure!

The chocolate energy is easily my favorite bar of any meal replacement / food bar. I’ve been eating them for over 20 years, and they never fail. The protein bars need some work. They dry out quickly due to the whey protein, so if you don’t get the protein bars fresh - they’re not very good. But the energy bars, with or without chocolate, always stay moist and always deliver with great flavor and nutrition.

I’ve been buying these bars for years, and have always been pleased with the product, the taste delicious, and the nutrient content was very nice as well. Providing 20% of your iron. Along with other nutrients.. My husband, has recently been diagnosed with celiac disease. And when you claim that these bars are gluten-free, it is FALSE & MISLEADING!!! it clearly states in the ingredient list that there is wheat😡 How, pray tell, can you claim it to be a gluten-free item? Also, they have recently changed the packaging and the look. And, Amazon still has the original ingredients and nutritional value of the bar, which has also changed. I have to admit I really like the flavor, but still, you need to take down the misleading nutritional facts

This is the real deal. NOT a grocery store so called energy or health bar. I’ve actually had to use after a month of bacterial infection left me in the hospital. I lived off these for over a month! While that’s extreme I lost 18 lbs was under a hundred pounds so I know these work. I still eat or a day to make sure I get the important supplements daily besides my vitamins. These helped me recover from a dire Heath crisis. Def recommend to anyone whether sick or healthy! Ck the labeled against anything in stores this is the real deal. I couldn’t take the one w chocolate bc my system couldn’t tolerate it. If you need to recover from anything or just want extra energy this is not junk this is health food.

Quality ingredients! Great taste! The above is true, quality ingredients and great taste! This box I received today, is dry and crumbly, not so fresh. I’m disappointed. For the price, I expected fresh! UPDATE: This is a new purchase of the bars. They have redesigned the package! This box is fresh and delicious! UPDATE: I received a box of these yesterday. Ok… so I order them every few weeks! They are so healthy, good, and filling! I have been enjoying these since 2012!!! I was concerned about the change in product packaging. No need! These have been the freshest! Same great taste and ingredients! You won’t be disappointed!

Delicious, easy to travel with, great food product, but I wished companies would use eco friendly packaging/wrap. I don’t eat as much of them because I don’t want to be throwing away more non-recyclable, non biodégradable metallic lined plastic wrappers into the landfill.

I'm not a personal trainer, but I am a health nut, and I have a few friends who are the same way. We have tried MANY different bars, including Atkins, MetRx, PowerBar, Zone, Balance, Luna, GoLean, Detour, Myoplex, CarboLite, Advantage, and other "40-40-30" bars. This bar is one of the best tasting bars I've eaten. The green color worried me at first, but the flavor and nutritive qualities of this bar make it hands down the best. We visited a health store for about two hours one day to compare the ingredients on this bar versus all the others. It is perfectly balanced, has no saturated fat (only 4g of mono-unsat, and 1g of poly unsat), and also has NO hydrogenated oils. This is VERY important, and if you don't know about how harmful hydrogenated oils can be, you should definitely read more about them. In many stores you will find this bar for about $2.40, discounted to $2.11. Here on the site it's an incredible deal to find the everyday price of $2.09 discounted to $1.67 per bar. I ordered 5 boxes! I think I'll order another 5-10 (since they'll keep up to 6-7 months) if the sale lasts longer. Hopefully they'll go on sale again. I didn't enjoy the chocolate flavored version, since I'm not a huge chocolate fan, but if you are (as is one of my friends), they said the chocolate version is just as good. I hope this company keeps making these for years to come!

I loved the ingredient list but once I tried these, I found the texture kind of funny (weird). I had hoped I would grow to like them, but no, sorry.. I can't recommend them. The taste is blah, kind of like an over processed food, really, though it is not according to the list. It is ok but not really something I would buy again. I didn't find any health benefit from eating them, unlike other health bars I have tried. I'm going back to my favorite - Whole Earth & Sea Organic Greens Protein Bars (they are greens and chocolate coated which is nice, too). I liked the ingredient list on this bar better, but the taste/texture makes it a no go for me.

This product has obviously had issues at some point prior to delivery!! I've normally purchased from a local health Store however they have been out of stock recently. (Possible Brexit problem!) Tasted a "off" unfortunately, so not particularly happy & unable to return or get exchange. The date is valid until April 2022.
