Fluidmaster K-400H-039 High Performance Toilet Fill Valve with 2-Inch Adjustable Toilet Flapper Kit

Worked like a champ. Easy to install and dial in without a youtube video even lol. Saw another reviewer mentioning the flapper didn’t fit because he bought a 3” and needed a 2” but didn’t know where to measure. Well, logic would dictate it being the hole it’s plugging, right? Perhaps? Just maybe? Just lift the flapper, eyeball the opening it was plugging. If it’s the size of an Oreo, you got a 2”. A baseball, you got a 3”. If your toilet was made after 2000, it could be a 3”. But before 2000, more than likely a 2”. If you’re uncertain, they make versions of this item without the flapper and you can purchase that part separately or as needed. As for measuring it? Use the ruler app on your phone to estimate without sticking a tape measure in your refill container. (Wink). That said, the flush is much stronger now, there were no leaking after install. The build quality seems fine, and these are inexpensive enough to not expect decades of use. My only complaint is the plastic or rubber tube to connect the water was a bit shorter than my previous one and interfered with the flush lever, so I had to use my previous one which was fine. I mentioned that specifically because some users described having to cut the included tube to make it shorter. In my case the reverse was true and mine was too short. Pause. All in all, a simple, inexpensive fix and I think I’ll replace the others in my house as well so they can race to see which lasts longest. Lol. 10/10 would recommend.

I've had a toilet in the guest bathroom that has had issues with the old fill valve since I moved in 5 years ago and I finally got around to realizing what a cheap and easy fix it was to just put a new valve in myself. I also changed my old rigid supply line to a braided line, got this installed and adjusted easily. Only complaint is the little dial that controls the bowl water tube drips a little when refilling, and at certain adjustment levels it sprays tiny stream of water up out of the top of it, thought I do appreciate the ability to adjust it I'm not sure if it's supposed to leak at that valve or not, though it luckily doesn't cause an issue.

Well, I'm totally impressed & can't believe how easy it was to install! So our ancient floatie finally just quit on us the other day! Figured I was in for a part that would cost an arm & a leg! I mean it's plumbing you know! Well to my very pleasant surprise not only did we update our toilet, but it was less than $20! Sure I read reviews, researched and this is what hubby said this would fix it! So not only did I receive it in super fast delivery time, (practically next day)it actually WORKS! ONLY took around 15 mins to install and no flooding either lol! Directions were awesome and we are still getting used to how QUIET it is! I've flushed twice thinking I forgot nope I didn't hear it! We are very pleased with this update and realize how important everyone's experience is for others! Very easy to adjust, didn't take much it was almost perfect! The reasons I purchased this one, great reviews, sold ALOT OF them in past month, reputable brand! Easy peazy decision! Definitely worth every penny! Hope this helps someone to purchase this! I’m a mature lady and I installed this myself 😃 Only needed the one part. Still working on the water level adjustment. I had already replaced the handle chain and flap but this pak comes with everything for a full in-tank replacement pieces. Make sure to have pliers and I used thick bathmat underneath. water is still in the dips and hose after bailing out the tank…which is necessary. Considering the cost of having the plumber come to do it…happy to have a smart friend give tips on this installation thru text as well. Thanks Pete 😊

Kit was complete. Instructions very easy to follow. Installation took maybe a half hour. So far so good.
