Global Macro Trading: Profiting in a New World Economy

Very informative book, a must read for a a trader

Wow what a great book. Highly recommend. An essential book to anyone trading in the financial market, whether your a beginner or experienced. Book help you make understand the ins and outs of the markets and how to maximize profit in currency trading. Teaches technical and fundamental analysis in a detail way that anyone can comprehend. This book really make me confident in my trading and has taken me to the next level with forex. Really think I can do this full time now.

In all honesty I wasn't expecting a book of this magnitude. It was helpful beyond all measure, while it does not go into depth on certain topics it is VERY VERY thorough in introducing main themes prevalent in Macro Trading and the intermarket correlations. What was interesting is Greg actually tries to quantify all aspects of risk in order for us traders to see how he manages it. While I would have preferred a stronger section on Modern Portfolio Theory the only detraction I can think of is in his foreign exchange section. I don't believe enough breadth was put into this section for the primary reasons. Yield Curves and the role of the central bank - hardly any mention if at all a mention An in depth section on Q.E. and it's effects. ERM - I think there is a small paragraph on it. Overall though this has been a great reference to learn more about areas I do not have experience in such as commodities. I will DEFINETLY buy more books of Greg Gliners in the future. Fantastic ability to present new materials.

Excellent book for any beginner or profession who wants to improve their knowledge about markets,

I was hoping the author would share his experience and knowledge about global macro. Instead, this book contains a bunch of investment basics, that everyone can find from free sources on the internet. I learned nothing about global macro trading from this book! I'd recommend: 1) Expected Returns: An Investor's Guide to Harvesting Market Rewards by Antti Illmanen 2) Efficiently Inefficient: How Smart Money Invests and Market Prices Are Determined by Lasse Heje Pedersen Cheers!
