Stainless steel is the best as it is sturdy and does not rust over time. This one is well made, robust and easy to install using large wrenches. I bought it to install on the towing bar of my pickup truck. Very satisfied so far.

Great ball. Just be aware you will need big wrenches to put it on. It states 450 FT LBS of torque which is a huge amount. I got mine to 360 FT LBS and called it a day. This thing is a tank.

Nut and washer not stainless steel. Curt we want a stainless steel nut and washer to go with the stainless steel ball.

Nice ball. No more rusty balls for me. Had this one mounted up on a forged Aluminum drop hitch 6 inches down on the back of my Hummer H3, This truck is a 2008 and has been kept in new conditions no rust on frame, axles, or body riding on 35" with 3 inch lift and only put 2000 mile on it in two years. So with the aluminium drop and Stainless ball's make this complete and no more rust there in the ball's area. Nice built ball's, strongly balls. 2 inch balls. Well that's what the trailer need on it. 10,000 pound balls. Ok you get the point. This is one ballistic truck (You thought I was going to say balls) And these balls will last a life time.
