I agree with the other guy. Weighs 40 pounds and is impossible to installThe base is literally 1" thick. You try to stuff 3 wires and wire nuts into that, while holding it in place and threading the screws into the two small holes. The wire nuts are thicker than the base: impossibleI cussed a lot. Finally got it in place, and one of the wires was loose.To beat it all, the base is so narrow/wide that you're surely going to have to paint again, because it's smaller than what you had. Would require too much work to reinstallIn person, it looks less copper/cool than white/ugly, too. There are no dark/copper tones that seem to be reflected in the pictures. It just looks, cheapTo add insult to injury, the included edison bulbs are too dim to be worth anything. You'd need to spend $20 on brighter bulbsLastly, assembly is amusingly difficult. It's not rocket science. But it comes 'pre-assembled' incorrectly, to maximize sizeWhat should be up is assembled down, with the washer on the bottom when it should be on the top. They saved .03" in shipping, but started my 30 minute cussing spree before packing back in the box

First off, no way this is 12 lbs. with glass and bulbs feels like 5 lbs the most.Very dated installation method. Will require a 2nd person or a way to prop up the fixture while you connect the wires.The glass would not fit on the threaded rod with rod tightened all the way. Had to loosen the rod to get the glass on and than try to stick my over sized hand in there to tighten. Couldn’t tighten all the way so fixture feels wobbly.Does not come with LED bulbs. It says that in the description but i didnt read. Must be an old product because everything comes with LED now. Plus the bulbs provide a bad light. Replaced with good bulbs right away.It is not a bad looking fixture and provides good light with the right bulbs but i do not feel the price is right for this item.

This light fixture looks beautiful and is really high quality. It is made of all metal and glass, no plastic. It took me about 1 1/2 hours to put together and hang. I read the other reviews and agree the instructions are hard to understand, but manageable. To make it easier to wire to the ceiling, I put the box it came in on top of a 6' ladder, put the light fixture on that which gave me about 6" to wire without having to hold and balance it. I left the glass out also to make it lighter until it was screwed into the ceiling. I highly recommend this light fixture. It is very rustic looking.

Beautiful light fixture. A slight issue with the assembly: the base plate wasn't sitting right, so we had to get a new one. Otherwise, ​than that, love it!

This light is impossible to install. We have been trying to hang this light for four hours. Save yourself the headache and DO NOT PURCHASE this light.. It also weighs about 40 lbs.

I bought at Lowe's, but based on the reviews here on Amazon, I have to defend this product. The other two reviews stating that the fixture is 40 pounds are both ridiculous. It weighs around 12 pounds, just like the specs say. Anyone with common sense can take one look at the pictures and know it weighs nowhere near 40 pounds. The last step of the install is a bit awkward to hold while securing the two final screws, but nothing the average DIYer can't handle. I installed it in less than an hour. I've installed many lights in my houses over the years, and this one wasn't any harder than others.
