This is without a doubt the best mug I have ever owned. It is well built, feels very solid all around, and the insulation is incredible. If I keep the lid on, a hot drink poured in the morning will stay warm all day and the outside surface never gets hot. The lid is rubberized and grips well, enough that it definitely won't come off on its own while still being relatively easy to open with a small tab sticking out. The underside is slightly grippy, enough that the mug won't slide on a marble countertop or glass table, and similarly the handle coating has enough friction that the mug won't tip and spill even if you have wet hands. The lid can be taken apart in two pieces and put back for cleaning, and there aren't any places that are hard to clean or where food would stay stuck. The only "downside" I would call out is that the mug does not fully seal even with the lid closed, there is still a small gap where liquid can flow through. This means you cannot use it as a small alternative to an insulated water bottle: do not place it in a travel bag with liquid inside, the "closed" lid only protects from spills when you walk to a different room with the mug, it will not hold its contents while traveling. In summary: this mug was clearly designed with great attention to detail, and its insulation is like no other. I wish I had bought one earlier.
