Good pen

Like many tactical types of gear that you can buy, this fit my budget and how much I will use it as a consumer and as a writer. I did look at other tactical pens before settling on this one, and I settled on this one because I didn't need four or above tactical pens laying around or in my backpack at a time. They do come with refills, and I was going to test them, but they come with plastic protection tips on the end so I'll have to wait and see. Some people in the reviews have said a couple of the refills haven't work/dried out, but that's the risk you take when buying pens that have been sitting for who knows how long on a shelf. They also said that it was only one or two of the refills and it does come with eight, so time will tell. The pens themselves both work fine and write good, minor scratches on one of the pens, but it's your typical ballpoint pen and no special gel pen styles or anything like that. The protection end is pretty sharp so be careful. I could see how these pens might catch on materials/fabrics and snag them, and the clip is pretty strong and secure on the side on the pen. Overall, they are pretty good, I feel that maybe they could offer two types of tactical pens in the future, one ballpoint and the other a gel type, but that's just a thought.

I bought these pens as handy tools and for writing. I left mine on a cartop and it slide off. Fortunately, I heard it and stopped... after hit by a few car tires, the pen was nicked but fully functional. Certainly, durable and, if necessary, can be used for other purposes. The pen is not lightweight and is a little bulky but writes well. Certainly, good for note-taking.

It is a tough pen to carry around. It writes well and the amount of writting is ok with 4 more refills per pen… I have given it to my nieces , nephew , wife. etc… TSA does not like it, one was taken from me on the way back home. initially it was ok on my way there but not on the way back. The pen can break a car glass easily and puncture a lung if you know how… I like it and take it with me in the luggage broken into pieces in my backpack and carryon. If you carry it as a whole it might get taken away… my family loves it and carries it all the time.

Pens are nice and sturdy. Very smooth extraction and retraction of the pen tip. Twist to operate and the function is very smooth. Pen is wider than most pens so keep this in mind. Feels good in my hand. The auxiliary function of the glass breaker on the tip of the pen I have not tried. The types of glass breakers most would think of is a spring loaded type of breaker. This pen is not a spring loaded breaker. All it has is a sharp point on the end and if you attempt to break glass you'll need to hammer the pen against the glass to attempt to break it. If you looking for a glass breaker buy a good one. This pen is exactly that, just a pen. It does come with refills too so that's nice.

Very tough pen that writes smooth. Also a good punch for a window. Lots of extra refills.

This pen while writing the pen retracts at times. But when it doesn't it writes well. The pen does last a while before replacing the refill. Keep the spring for the pen. You don't have a replacement spring.
