Great quality tool!
Well made product. Good size and weight for 3 ounce smash burger patties. Handle is a nice grippy material and is designed well so it doesn’t accidentally rotate when in use. Easily cleaned in dishwasher, or use parchment paper and eliminate the cleanup altogether.

Does as advertised.
Works like it should. I was able to smash the burgers down like you see (better than me) cooks do in videos. Love it, I'll edit if it breaks before the summer ends, but it seems well built and sturdy.

Great for smash burgers
Perfect size for making smash burgers on my Blackstone griddle. Seems sturdy an super easy to clean. What? You don't have a Blackstone griddle? You need to get one. Crazy good food and super easy to use,

Decent product hobbled by a crappy handle!
I purchased this for its stated purpose - to make smash burgers on our outdoor griddle. Upon receipt and initial use, a few things were evident: 1 - the metal has a nice heavy gauge and there was no flex to when burgers were being smashed, 2 - the working surface was nicely finished, and sticking was not an issue (this may change if/as the surface gets scratched or roughed up during use - time will tell) 3 - the handle is terrible - it's a thin, wooden rod that's very loosely secured by two screws. It has a tendency to spin freely during use so, if you're not careful, your hand could end up rolling off of it and onto the the cooking surface. This tendency to rotate also makes it more difficult to use the press (depending on the orientation of the handle relative to direction that you're moving the press. I'm going to the local big-box home improvement store to buy a 1-1/4" hardwood dowel and some stainless, lock washers, and will make a replacement handle that's: 1 - larger and more comfortable to hold/use, and 2 - won't spin while in use Bottom line: recommended (with a big asterisk)

Recommended press for making thinner hamburgers
Works great - use some parchment paper for best results. Stainless steel is far easier to clean than cast iron. Each one of the hamburger patties in the image are a 1/3 of a lb.

Quality and long lasting
I have one of the old wooden handle ones that the handle just cracked after nearly 4 years of use and easily 100 lbs of burgers later. Handle was the only flaw and I see they fixed it. I repaired mine with a scrap dowel and hope it lasts another 4 plus years.

The perfect tool for smash burgers.
This is the product I have been looking for. I was recently introduced to smash burgers and have been making them at home with my spatula. Although I really like my spatula, it doesn’t work very well for smashing. I have been researching tools for smashing including cast iron grill presses and $50 steak weights. I was reluctant to buy the Burger Iron thinking that it would be too small, but I realized that it should be large enough to make bun sized burgers. It is so simple. The weight is right and the handle is optimally placed to apply force. The smooth texture and the fact that it is dishwasher safe are bonuses. With a spatula, even a nice one, it is difficult to smash the burger evenly and you have to apply a fair amount of force to get it thin enough. Because of the location of the handle directly above the surface that is doing the smashing, it is very easy to get the burger thin enough and it ends up with a uniform thickness. I forgot to buy parchment paper and thought that I would have trouble with the burgers sticking. (I have had this problem in the past if I let my spatula get too hot on the grill.) However, sliding the burger iron off to the side like was mentioned in the reviews worked perfectly. I don’t think I will bother with parchment paper in the future. I made 2 oz burgers very similar in size to what you would get in a fast food restaurant and doubled or tripled them up. They were the best burgers I have ever made.

It’s a keeper
Much better than cast-iron, doesn’t require seasoning, easy to maintain and clean.
