Head measures almost 23 what size would fit best?

My head measures exactly 24 inches (measured just above the ears). I bought the XL/XXL and they fit fine, perhaps a tad looser than I'd like, but not at all tight. I'd guess that the L/XL might be the right fit for you. Tip: Invest in a hat stretcher. I've used them on everything from felt fedoras to synthetic baseball caps if they're too tight and they do the trick. Hope this helps.
