I keep buying this chain, it is that good.
I have used this chain on two generators. While no chain is totally impermeable to cutting, this chain will give a thief a real run for their time. There are some good YouTube movies on this chain. One of my generators is in a semi-permanent place for work. In both cases with generators out back, I did the following: dug a nice big hole about 2ft deep and 12" in diameter. I put a thick piece of bent rebar through the bottom link and positioned it in the hole. I filled the hole up with cement. It will take a truck to pull the slug of chain and cement from the ground. Later, I put a 6" slab over the same area as a flat working surface for the generators. Unless someone shows up with a rather powerful metal cutting diamond blade or disk, it is not likely they will get off with much of anything. The lock through the links is no weak point either since my lock smith uses the same lock and chain to secure his tools in his truck. If you own a motorcycle this is the perfect chain. A lot of the fancy looking chain in HomeDepot or Lowe's can be cut in seconds with a bolt cutter. Not ABUS. "Snatch and run" will not work with this chain. If you have a shed or the like that you keep equipment in, I would suggest pulling up some boards, digging a hole, and follow the directions above. A neighbor of mine had 5 chain saws stolen in the course of five minutes when he was out. Had he run 6+ft of this chain through the saw handles with one end in cement, nothing could have happened. The crooks just walked into the shed and snatched up the five saws. Easy theft. Also, no one has been caught either. At home you can even create a security point for bikes by the method above. For me burying the chain in cement is key. There are no easy weak points. They can't bend or cut an eye bolt because there is not one. There are hurricane ties that would also work nicely since they used those in houses buried in cement. But, this chain is largely hacksaw proof.

Good for locking up my bike
Pretty decent, and long enough. I'm not a fan of the cover, though. I cut the cover in two places so that the chain could be looped onto itself. I feel that ABUS could have thought of this and made the cover in sections. The cover gets pretty trashed once cut open. It's a weighty chain, not too expensive, fairly easy to use and functional.

Extremely heavy duty
I know this is a bike chain, but we bought it to use as security at our church. We had an HVAC unit stolen from behind the church that was housed in a wooden shed with a lock on the door. That didn't stop the thieves, so we had to get something better. My husband bought this because it is extremely thick and heavy-duty metal. He wrapped it around the 2 posts where the door to the HVAC units are housed and placed a heavy duty lock on it. So far, it's working great- the chain around the back of the posts keep the bad guys out. It's a little pricy, but cheaper than replacing another HVAC unit. We are very happy with it.

Increases security for gated fences
This is specifc to ABUS security lock. I use it to lock a gate when I'm gone for a couple days. Anyone trying to break this chain and lock are going to be awhile. Highly recommended.

Impressive Security Chain!
Using this chain to secure my pressure washer and hose reel on my carrier. Was going to order the 12KS but they don’t offer it in a 10’ length. Was impressed with the stats for cut resistance and the cover sleeve is a nice feature to prevent scratches. I’ve paired this with an Abus 37/80 lock to discourage all but the most determined thief. Given enough time any deterrent can be overcome but this combo is gonna make them work for it! Item was packaged well and arrived as expected.

This chain is a brute! Huge chunky links and a very nice cover!

Solid and heavy chain
Heavy/thick chain will certainly slow down someone from stealing my bike. 6 foot length is enough to lock up two bikes to the hitch, however you would need two locks, because 6' isn't long enough to make a complete loop around both bikes and connecting to the hitch. I don't have any pictures, but basically the chain is in a lollipop configuration, a lock on one end securing it to the hitch, then the other end goes through the first bikes frame, loops around the 2nd bike frame, and use the 2nd lock to close the loop around the 2nd bike.

Great chain for many bikes
We use this chain for locking 4 bikes to our hanging hitch-mounted bike rack. It has plenty of length to make it through all the frames and hook onto the rack itself. The fabric covering keeps the bikes from getting too scratched up, although the little plastic rivets that hold it on the last link are easy to break. Make sure you know the diameter of whichever lock you plan to use to ensure it fits through the links.

Excelente, uso esta cadena en conjunto con el candado Abus 26/80 disk desde hace casi 2 años y funcionan muy bien, no le ha pasado nada siquiera a la tela que la cubre, esta algo corta, unos 60cm pero justo cierra mi portón.

Almost went for the 12KS but I'm glad I didn't. The 10KS is still a large chain with sizeable links and is incredibly sturdy, well, made, and heavy. I originally bought this to lock up mountain bikes in the back of my truck but I'd confidently use this on anything I'd want to try and keep safe. I honestly feel like the 12KS would be overkill. Overall I'm very happy with this chain and I'd buy another in a heartbeat if needed.

Good quality though quite heavy. I use this to keep a storage locker secure.
