I bought this to make an attic scene for a musical. It took me a few passes, but I eventually figured out how to use it well. After that it was pretty easy to work with and I think it turned out nicely, I didn’t really like the look of a couple of the tools, but it came with plenty that looked good so that wasn’t an issue. I found a glaze layer at the end really softened it up and made it look more realistic.

This tool works great on flat surfaces. There are many “How To” videos to learn how to use it. The tools are a good quality and value.

There is a bit of a learning curve with these but I was pleased with the results once I got the hang of it. I don’t know that this is essential for creating a faux wood look BUT it does speed the process up a bit. These were very easy to clean, the oil based stain did stain the silicone a bit but not terribly and it didn’t affect the functionality of the tools. I think you get quite a bit out sizes and options for the price and they’re all plenty durable which is great!

Once you get the hang of the individual rollers and how to apply them to get the desired effect the set works wonderfully. I would highly recommend using a test area/item to get the hang of it before committing. There are not a lot of instructions that come with it, so it’s just about getting used to it while you use it. Highly recommend as this set will give you a nice wood grain appearance. Good price point and easy to clean, they are a silicone like material and the paint wet or dry comes off pretty easily. The material is soft and the paint hold to it well (again you have to get familiar with how much you want on it / how far that will go).

Loved this! I used the blue tool part for the entire wall. It turned out really well. Everyone thought it was wallpapered and not painted. Definitely need to add a gesso to the paint to keep it from drying too quickly. It is a learning curve. Can't wait to try the other ones in the set. I watched a YouTube video on how to do this. It was pretty easy.

Arrived sooner than Amazon promised. This will be perfect for a staircase up to the attic.

I'm just at the learning stage and already it is starting to take shape. Been watching a lot of how-to videos and these texture tools are holding up well to my abuse. I think they will do well but I will have to update later with pics.
