Very good Latte frother
This frothier works very well for making a quick latte. This is my second one ( two different homes).

5+ years strong
When I woke up this morning and, like I've done practically every morning since September 10, 2008, and frothed my milk with the Aerolatte I thought it was high time I updated my review. To my chagrin I found that I never had reviewed this marvelous piece of kitchen gadgetry. So as if the fact that I've used this nearly every morning for almost 2,000 days should be review enough. There's really not a lot to review since it has one feature; turn it on and the whisk spins, frothing your milk. It does this extraordinarily well. Unlike other reviewers here I don't find myself replacing batteries every two weeks, I would remember that. But I don't keep meticulous records of my battery replacement activities so I'm no help there. Some reviewers complain that it doesn't froth non-fat, low-fat or "milk" made from various tree nuts or legumes very well. My response is that it isn't the fault of the frother, so DON'T BLAME THE FROTHER! One of the primary reasons you can get copious amounts of froth from the milk of animals is the amount of fat in it. When you reduce or remove the fat, you reduce the ability of milk to produce and hold foam. My morning coffee consists of coffee, 1T MCT oil, 1T organic whipping cream, 1T pastured unsalted butter - If I produced any more foam the cup would probably float away! Bottom line - don't listen to the whiners who complain that they can't get their walnut milk frothy enough. If you want that kind of froth you're going to have to buy an expensive machine that shoots 212 degree pressurized steam into your product, and even then, without fat, you're going to be disappointed. For the price of four snooty, burnt up tasting venti's you can make your own froth. As an aside to the lactose intolerant people who can't use heavy cream like I do - you can use the mct oil to add some healthy fat to your tree/legume milk and you should get a better froth out of it if froth it is you seek. I almost forgot - this thing has been great on the trail backpacking. If you've ever eaten any of the pre-packaged, just add water, dehydrated backpacking meals you know how you sometimes end up with dry clumps. I don't, because I take this along with me and use it to mix the water into the meal. Yeah, by the time I come back I may have to take a toothbrush to the whisk to get little bits out of it, but cleanup isn't as laborious as some here might lead you to believe.

Aerolatte Deluxe Is Simple But Very Effective
The Aerolatte Stainless-Steel Deluxe Edition is a very well made frother and comes with an attractive stainless steel stand. I was impressed at how easy this unit is to operate even with the minimal instructions included on the box. Basically, you remove the plastic tab from the back of the unit so that the batteries can make contact. Then you have to clean the unit when you get it by putting some hot soapy water into a tall glass, "frothing" it and then drying it off. At that point it's ready to use. Operation is just as simple. You will have the best results using a glass that is nice and tall so you can watch the milk rising and stop before you froth too much. Start with less milk than you think you will need because this unit produces more foam than I expected. After you insert the unit, start from the bottom and slowly raise the frother through the milk without going to the top. In just a few moments you will have frothy cream. Now there are just a few other tips included in the instructions. For coffee drinks such as cappuccino, you have to heat up your milk slightly without boiling it. For milk-shakes, you have to use milk that is cold. And for those who don't want to use milk, they make a point of saying that you can use this with just about any liquid, including soy milk. The included recipes are a very helpful start for a device I only thought about using for coffee drinks. There are more uses for this than I anticipated. One thing that is hard to notice is that the unit moves much more slowly when fully submerged than when it is lifted toward the top of your liquid. It feels very well built, but just operates a little sluggishly when fully submerged. So if you just need a little foam, pull this about half-way through the liquid so it can incorporate air a little faster. The main drawback to this product is that it is expensive compared to what it is. Aerolatte makes a lot of other models, including the Aerolatte Original which shares the same 5 year warrantee. Others like the Aerolatte Satin with Travel Case that are more geared towards portable use come with a shorter two year warrantee. I haven't tried any of the other models yet, but they appear to be very similar other than their warrantees and materials. CONCLUSION Even though this is a luxury, it is worth it. This product simply works as advertised and will be getting more use in my house than I thought it would. Enjoy.

Unreliable
ADDED as edit: After some back and forth, the customer rep (Laura) agreed to send me two replacements. Again, these worked perfectly well and then suddenly (after about a year), they became unreliable, sometimes working, sometimes not, even after batteries are replaced. So not sure what the problem was. I believe something went loose inside and the requisite contacts weren't working (inside). The products have a two year warranty, btw. Bought two of these last year for myself and my daughter. Of course it's easy to love but wait a year, it will stop working. This year both stopped working or worked intermittently even though I used brand new batteries. I contacted the manufacturer and they said I wasn’t using the product correctly. It’s not a complex product. I use it to froth milk for coffee. Pour about one inch of milk into cup. Whisk it. The whisk is never filled to the rim or eveb halfway with milk. It whisks one inch of milk. I wash it after and let it dry. Nothing to misuse. The warranty is supposedly two years but they won’t honor it due to “misuse.” Before I got their reply (took a long time since they asked me to upload a photo of both frothers laid side by side and since my kid lives in a different location, I had to wait for her to bring hers), I had bought two new ones. That was in November. One of them, two months later, has stopped working.

Item required battery change every 2 months, and stopped working altogether after 6 months. Really waste of money.

I was looking to expand my arsenal of tools for my home bar and came across this frother here on amazon. I've got to say - what a tool for such a price. It even came with a nice stand in stainless steel. The tool itself functions perfectly, it makes good milkshakes, froths hot milk for lattes easily and also helps bring texture into drinks when you use it with eggwhite. It is not fragile at all, I've hit the sides and bottom of the glass repeatedly with the tip and it neither bent nor stopped spinning, it still functions perfectly to this day (with the same batteries that came included with it!). Stainless steel is easy to fit into your kitchen or bar as it compliments most styles. There is a nice detail of aerolatte being written on both the stand and the tool in the same side, it is very very stylish.
