NeoCharge saved me $4k and worked right out of the box
Included an unboxing video to show everything in the box. Heard about NeoCharge from a friend who got their two EV model. I've been swapping my dryer and Tesla plugs for about a year and it's gotten to be quite a pain since the electrician originally told me it'd cost $4000 to put in a dedicated charger due to a maxed-out panel. Didn't want to do that so I sucked it up and moved my dryer around 2-3x per week to get to the outlet. Honestly I wish I knew about NeoCharge sooner. I already had a adapter since the charger has a different plug type (make sure you set it to 24 amps so you dont trip your breaker). Got the Smart Splitter and it installs really easy. Just needed to unscrew 2 screws on the outlet to then attach the mounting bracket. Really smart design. I like that it plugs in directly since my wife would kill me for putting more holes in the wall than we already have. Splitter works like a charm. Start the dryer, and the car gets cuts off after about 3 seconds. After dryer finishes the power turns back on on the car side. Very neat product. Cudos to whoever came up with this idea. On a separate note - my buddy with two EVs says that the 1450 (two EV) version allows for some dynamic power splitting where he can charge one after the other, or at the same time depending on his charger settings. Highly recommend to EV drivers since I know a lot of people are probably still swapping plugs like I was. NeoCharge had some articles on their website about why you shouldn't do that because it is is bad for the outlet and actually becomes a fire hazard if you do it too often. I asked their customer support and they recommended swapping out my wall outlet since it's probably worn down by down. Haven't done it yet but have a new outlet coming next week that is allegedly industrial grade and is the best for EV charging long term. Hoping this review helps others save time with some of the pains being of a new EV driver and charging.

The best solution out there for charging at home
I called multiple electricians to come give us an estimate on adding an outlet for charging our car. The bare minimum to get it done was $2500, which is ridiculous because our main electrical panel is right next to the garage. It only would have taken about ten feet of wiring to do the job. But they all cited things like the labor shortage and the supply shortage of copper, etc... So I was complaining to a friend who also has an EV and he recommended this. It worked 100% perfect for me, right out of the box. No setup needed, no issues. Just plugged it in and now the car charges whenever the dryer is not in use and I never have to go through the hassle of plugging and unplugging those huge 14-30 cables manually just to switch between car charger and dryer. I haven't tried any of the smart features yet, like scheduling charging, etc... but it's perfect even without those.

⚠️⚠️ EDIT: DANGEROUS FIRE HAZARD
⚠️ EDIT (Nov 30, 2025): The unit began MELTING despite following all safety instructions provided by the company through their emails and manuals. They haven't responded yet and this is AN ABSOLUTE FIRE HAZARD, Amazon NEEDS to delist the company. We've also just reached out to them about this but haven't received any response yet. The box was reading at 145F and climbing. Had this for almost two years, worked perfectly—then one day, boom, just stopped. Had my dryer (primary) and Tesla (secondary) plugged in, and it just died outta nowhere. Honestly, I was worried about support (thought it might be one of those random overseas companies), but nope—they’re actually super responsive. Turns out they design this in Cali, so I guess HQ’s in the U.S. too. Anyway, they walked me through troubleshooting, and when it still didn’t work, they just sent me a new one. No hassle. Turns out, I messed up—I had my EV set to charge at 30-34A when my NEMA plug is 30A, and yeah… apparently, that melts stuff (whoops). Should’ve been 24A max. Didn’t know, but now they make it clearer in their guides. But man, this thing is a lifesaver. Plug in my EV? Starts charging in a few secs. Turn on the dryer? EV stops. No more running to the basement to flip plugs. Works exactly how you’d want it to. Oh, and the app? Ehh, mostly just for software updates. Nothing crazy. And nah, this ain’t sponsored or anything—just genuinely happy with it. Even with the issue (which was 100% my fault), I’d still buy it again.

Awesome AF
This is awesome AF. We have a (2nd) washer/dryer in our garage, and a rented-out apartment above said garage. Due to the renter, I needed an automatic, foolproof solution that would favor the dryer, but allow my PHEV to otherwise charge, without any physical plugging or unplugging of anything. (The only other option was to add another 240V circuit -- which I'm actually competent to do myself -- but the panel was already full and adding a 2nd panel would definitely mean a big electrician bill). This thing just works. The dryer always gets priority for our renter, but after the dryer is done, plus a minute or too to "make sure", it reroutes the power back to the EV charger. No issues. No programming. Just plug in, and plug in, and plug in. There was an easy-to-install bracket to make sure it doesn't unplug from the weight of two plugs hanging on it. This is a fantastic product. And UL rated is key these days especially with so many shoddy made-in-you-know-where products out there. With an EV in my garage, and gas cans too, I don't mess around with fire risk. UL rating is a must.

Works well for my application
been using for few months now without any issues. Have not used the programmable functions. Plugged into dryer outlet with dryer as primary and EV charging extension cord as secondary. Kind of expensive but allows me to charge EV without spending thousands to wire a dedicated 220V garage outlet and panel

Works well
I bought this to split a dryer outlet with an ev charger and probably saved at least $1000-$2000 to have an electrician to wire a new outlet. While 24 amps certainly isn’t the quickest charging rate, it gets the job done. I drive 100 miles a day maybe 150 on certain days and an overnight charge gets the job done. The splitter is super easy to install. Really the only installation is screwing in the bracket to hold it securely (and when I say screw the bracket and screws go over your existing face plate on the outlet - so you’re not making new holes in the wall). It automatically starts and stops without issue. I like that it is up listed and feels solid. Price was fair- don’t cheap out when you’re playing with electricity. My only complaint is that I’m not a huge fan of the app but perhaps the app will get better with time. Additionally the app apparently doesn’t integrate with ford evs but I think that’s fords fault. I would buy again 100%.

WiFi hard to configure and stops working
Other than the issues with WiFi, I think this is a decent product. It does a good job of switching the load between our dryer and our EV out in the garage. It solved a major problem in an elegant way. The device can be managed over WiFi with an app. However, getting the device connected to the WiFi in our house was challenging. First, it required downloading another app and then hunting for documentation that explained how to answer the setup questions. We received the device on 11/13/23 and I finally got the Wifi and the app working on 11/16/23. This past Sunday (1/7/24) the device is no longer connected to our WiFi. However, it is still splitting the power between the dryer and the EV. So, the bottom line is... Buy it for the power splitting feature. Don't buy it for the WiFi and the management app.

No doubt this is the way to go to charge your EV from your dryer!!
Good: this was better than I even could have imagined. It is literally plug and play. Without zero doubt this is the way to go if you are going to use your dryer outlet to charge your EV. Now I got the 10-30 plug as that is what I have on my dryer and I have the 10-30 for the Tesla Mobile Charger.....plugged right up. Car charges and if the car is charging and I cut on the dryer, you can hear the click on the box, flips to the primary (dryer) dryer dries and this kills the charger to the Tesla. Totally smooth and again, even better than I could have hoped. One small....meh....to this....the instruction manual that comes with it stinks when it comes to the wifi instructions to pair the splitter to your home's wifi. You will need to go to the NeoCharge site to get the easy, best steps, but then it is a piece of cake.
