Very excellent product which is now hard to find in food stores, although was quite common years ago. Great flavoring apart from its healing properties.

I like it for what effect has in body, and that purchase has more normal price

5 Saffron Tea I’m using this tea in conjunction with an alkalizing whole food plant based diet to eliminate psoriasis. I love the smell. It reminds me of paprika, and that comes subtly through in the flavor as well. It’s a pleasant tasting tea that I begin and end the day with. The tea strands feel silky, rather than dry, and those that manage to sneak through my tea strainer, remain in my tea. They’re not bitter like some tea leaves, so getting a few “escapees” doesn’t bother me. I don’t know how long people drink this tea for treatment, and although I don’t mind the taste, I don’t see myself buying it on an on-going basis.

After looking into it, I discovered that American Saffron is not Saffron at all… It is Safflower pedals. It tastes nothing like saffron and doesn’t have the same medicinal qualities. Total scam.

Received overnight. I use saffron in conjunction with my chai tea for respiratory issues. It has very little taste on it's own and didn't alter the taste of my tea. I have had a cup the previous 3 nights and have rested better, It might be my imagination or coincidence, but I didn't have to take a histamine{Zyrtec}} to be able to breathe lying down. I used a teaspoon each of saffron, chai tea and honey in an 8 ounce hot water and strained , when pouring into cup.

I use one level measuring tablespoon to steep 20oz of tea. I drink at least that 20oz per day sometimes 40oz. The taste and aroma is mild in my opinion. Not something I would seek out for flavor, but that's not why I bought it in the first place. My wife hates the smell of the open bag, the steeped tea, my breath after drinking. Says it smells bad. Regardless, I bought it to help with symptoms of Psoriasis. It does seem to help a little bit. It is NOT a miracle worker and it does take time. I used more than 1/2 the bag before I noticed any improvement. I've tried to follow as much of Pagano's regimen as I can and have seen 50-70% improvement. I have also used slippery elm at least once a day: one level measuring teaspoon per mug per day. Not sure what has helped the most: this tea, excluding nightshades, slippery elm, or increased rest / lower stress. But I am making progress. Good luck to you!
