My local stores don't carry the large size, and Reach waxed floss is the best of the brands. The large size is more economical and the quality is excellent.

I still buying same every time

I have used this floss for over a decade. I found that when I bought shorter quantities at the grocery store, it would sometimes have a tendency to break while flossing my teeth. The grocery store quit carrying the really long spools in favor of a store brand, so I came to Amazon to get what I wanted. I don't know why anyone would buy a 50yd spool. Really, are you planning on quitting flossing your teeth sometime soon? That's the only way I can think a shorter length at the time of purchase could be justified. The spool might jam once or twice over the lifetime of the product, but it is easy to fix and only takes seconds to get back to working again. Pop the top cover open, flip the spool end for end, and put it back together. Otherwise, I have no complaints and neither does my dental hygenist. Had my teeth cleaned yesterday and it was a very quick procedure without issues. It does what it is supposed to do. I didn't rate thickness or sheerness. Thickness preferences are an individual thing and I've heard different things from different dentists. This works, so good enough for me. Sheerness?? I'm not sure how that might apply.
