I LOVE this ice vest. Not a paid reviewer, and I bought these two myself, not gifted by seller. I bought these ONLY because they could deliver fast (next morning) and a lot of them had been ordered. First, I am sitting in my house without AC and it's in the 80's in here and I'm comfortable and cool. These vests cool at least 3 hours, and maybe more since I was using the included gel ice packs and they weren't frozen solid yet. It was a little bit of a pain to fill up the water ice packs, but the gel ones were so easy. All you do is soak them and squish them around a little then leave them underwater for a few minutes. (I left a metal kitchen crusher on top of about 5 of them and that held them under) The vest itself seems well thought out, the pockets are waterproof, but because I didn't completely dry off the bags before freezing them a little of the ice dripped down the fabric. Not a big deal at all. The velcro straps are very adjustable so I could make it as tight and against my chest/back as much as possible. I'm an XL and I had no problem with the Large size. Love that there's a zipper so once you have the straps set you don't have to mess with them again. Also thought it was cool that they put the freezer bags in a little insulated lunch bag. Nice touch, kind of a freebie. I bought two so my other family members could use them, but even if they don't I'm freezing all the bags that came with that one too. Look no further, this one is the right one to order.

For the price this vest is worth the investment. The included 18 do it yourself ice packs are of good quality. No thin plastics to rip or puncture easily so leaking should not be an issue. If you never had prepared an ice pack before it can be tricky but if you hold the ice pack opening up around the water faucet head and run the water at a slow speed and at the same time use your fingers to rub the pack so air can get to the bottom then it should fill up rather easy with the best results. The vest is adjustable to many chest sizes and easy to adjust using the four elastic velcro straps. The vest itself is heavy but not to heavy with and without ice packs. The vest is made with material that feels durable in my opinion. The design is nice to wear and functional. Included with everything mentioned was a nicely designed little lunch bag lined with insulation which can come in handy. I have tried this vest out and my results are that this vest will keep you cool for about 3 hours which is great but this will be different for everyone depending on their place of use. I used this vest to keep me cool while gaming on a pc in a hot room in texas with the window open and a box fan blowing outwards. This vest did the job well and with the extra ice pack bags in the freezer means I can stay cool for a very long time. I would recommend this product for purchase!

This vest is a lifesaver if you work in a very hot climate. The ice packs that came with the vest seep sticky liquid through the plastic. I had to go buy 24 hard ice packs to put in here so they don’t leak. 24 because it holds six ice packs and I switched them out every two hours. I’m also 6 foot one and the bottom of the vest is above my belly button. It needs to be longer. I’m still giving it three stars because being able to wear ice packs on my torso where I work is a lifesaver.

I’ve become heat intolerant in my older age. Super unfortunate because I live in Deep South west Florida! Plus I live to garden every morning. Due to my heat intolerance I thought I was going to have to give up gardening. Then I found this and with a lot of hope I ordered. Man what a life saver! It’s good for about almost 2 hours in these high temps and humidity. I even wear it in the evening after the sun goes down to walk my dogs! So glad this product works so well! Great quality. Gets just a little heavy with all the ice packs at capacity. But I’m 61 and manage just fine.

The ice packs burst so far 4 of them n they leaked all over me. It’s already super hot temperature n now to have wet clothes on n sticking to your body is even worse the jacket fabric is thick n hot as well it’s made for a mans flat chest cuz our boobs get in the way as the 2 chest ice packs push your boobs in leaving a plain hot fabric sitting on top of the boobs as the zipper closes all the way up if you leave it open is unzips all the way down the ice packs are bulky and take a ton of space in the freezer

The vest is ridiculously small. Reminded me of a crop top for girls. It might have barely come down to my belly button. And once you put the ice packs in it it fits even smaller than before. The ice packs kinda suck, as they are quite big so I went out and bought some of those rectangular plastic ice packs that kids put in they're lunch box. Those worked better and did make it to where I could barely fit into it. Probably my biggest problem with it was that there is no reason why the front of the vest isn't the same as the back. Only two ice packs for the super little front of the vest, but the back has pockets for 4 packs and also goes all the way down my back. If I could have bought two backs, this would have gotten a higher rating. I'm thinking about buying another one to try that out but either way, I'm gonna have to sew some longer straps so I can actually wear it in a way that it fits. I feel like they cut some corners with designing this. It is definitely not for average sized men who are slightly overweight.

I would gladly buy one of these with 6 ice packs in the back and 4 in the front. That being said, I believe this is the best one on the market for now. I didn’t realize it would come with both style of freezer bags, but mine did. Both have their advantages and you can buy more of each separately on Amazon. At my time of purchase though, it’s the same price as just buying a second vest though. I’m 50+ and diabetic, so this years heat is literally killing me. I feel like I’m about to die within minutes of stepping outside. These filled and fully frozen allow me to get out and move slowly for a solid hour before thawing. They are still chilly and allow me to get back inside. I will be soaking wet and I have the feeling of being covered in icy hot if that makes sense. You are hot, but yet there are patches of cold that you can focus on to keep from totally collapsing. It’s no miracle, but it does work. I usually take a good break and dry off, then swap the pads with freshly frozen ones. That gives me another good hour to finish mowing. Be careful cooling of in the ac though. Being hot and soaking wet, then stepping into ac causes me to cool off way to fast. On another note, I was trying to be way to careful not to get air into the larger style freezer bags by using a straw to release air while filling them. They have a fascinating design though, so just let water drip in until it starts absorbing the water and then fill to the line on the baggie. It seems to have a simple one way valve design that inserting a straw bypasses. The other bags just absorb the water and expand, which is super simple. The ones you fill are slightly bigger, but the soak ones slightly easier, but a tad smaller. I’m not sure if either will last longer at this point than the others. I truly hope this review helps and if your looking at these, I feel your pain. God bless!
