Well made and dependable.
I've been using Tek-Lok for years, and this stuff is the real deal! When I came across this 5-pack, I was reading through some of the 1 and 2 star reviews and was wondering if this pack were counterfeit product, but they are not, the are the genuine product, with the quality I've come to expect from Tek-Lok. Definitely NOT printed on a 3D printer, and a hardware kit was included. The screw holes line up with many popular patters, including products like Safariland and Comp-Tac holsters. Look, here is the thing about the hardware kit, this is designed to be used on Kydex products, not leather sheaths, so yes, the screws are short. If you are trying to use these on something other than a material like Kydex, expect a trip to your favorite hardware store for some stuff. These are easy to use and reasonably priced compared to other products in this category.

Tek Lok
I purchased this item specifically for my BK2 companion. It seems to be well made and is quite functional. I had zero issues with mounting/ aligning it to the stock BK2 sheath with one caveat. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Mainly because I cannot carry the knife as I actually intended to. The grommets on the BK2 sheath are not the same OD on both sides. The Tek Lok fits perfectly and interlocks with the sheath only on the smaller side (grommets) configuration. At least on my BK2, this limitation makes it difficult to Scout carry for a right handed person. With all that said, this is still a good product and an absolute must have upgrade for the BK2. IMHO.

Great Product!
Well to begin with I'd like to mention that to my knowledge blade tech makes 3 different size tek loks. A mini, standard, and large. This product, is the standard size and worked great for my application. The design is great, and with the secondary bar to secure the tek lok I don't have any concerns of losing my tool. There are other knock off products out there, but I've heard from other reviewers their products are unreliable. Furthermore, as one individual noted, when you have a tool that cost a substantial amount of money why would you skimp on a product meant to secure it to your pack or person? This Blade Tech Tek Lok is WELL MADE IN THE USA!!! That to me means something! Supporting American industry and business AND getting a SUPERIOR product is a no brainer. To be fair the only critique I will offer is that the hardware that shipped with my tek lok was too small for my application. I used larger sized Chicago screws, and they worked great. The only other thing I wish I had available would have been a washer (preferably in black) to better secure one of the screws to an oval shaped area on my kydex. It's not problem on the area's where there is an eyelet, but I believe many products will incorporate the use of both. So in closing, if Blade Tech would offer some sort of assorted hardware package for differently sized/arranged sheaths and holsters to accommodate installation at a fair price, that would be GREAT! My experience is this, that it's vexing to receive a product and then realize when you begin assembling your rig per personal preference you're gonna want to have EVERYTHING you need. Lol . . . and do yourself a favor hit your hardware with some thread lock (blue in case you decide to change your configuration) because that could be a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money you're stowing. Regardless of the money, this is true Imho the value of your tools in the field are invaluable to their owner; ESPECIALLY when you need them.

This is an excellent product!
I'm a longtime UltiClip user and fan because I carry many of my small/medium size knives as personal protection/weapon retention tools which I carry concealed, off hand, IWB. But I do have knives that I prefer to carry as EDC general use knives and I really prefer to carry them horizontally, OWB. I've heard a lot about Tek-Lok belt clips over the years, but I never purchased one of them, and I'm not sure why. I'm so glad that I finally did. The quality is great and the toughness is amazing. I'm very proud to be supporting a company and wearing a product that's made in the USA! I've seen some reviews where people have complained because they don't fit certain sheaths, but this is quickly remedied if you buy a 1/4" grommet kit so you can space your grommets accordingly. As a matter of fact, grommets are not really even a necessity because these clips can be attached through any 1/4" diameter hole or groove. I will definitely be buying more of these in the future for my OWB carry needs!

Universal it is NOT, well built, YES
I want to start by saying that my use of this is to mount to hard knife case to a belt scout style and I didn't want to go with a leather sheath for this, nor did I want to develop my own sheath, so I figured I would try the Tek-Lok because of it's "universal" description. I have found in both of the instances that I would use this, the Tek Lok will just not cut it for proper assembly due to only (2) screws out of the (3+) that I would want for retention of the knife sheath to my belt. I have attempted to use this for the Ka-Bar BK2 Kydex sheath and the Cold Steel Hunter. Both knives are different sizes but it was completely unusable with the Cold Steel Hunter, and as for the heavier 1/4 inch thick BK2, with only (2) screws aligning with the mount holes on the sheath, I just didn't feel like it was secured well enough for continual use. So, my Tek-Lok sits, waiting for a wait to connect a sheath to it. Because I only have knives that I use and am not a collector, I don't know how long this will sit, but maybe sometime I will find something that I can use with it. I am planning on getting a field hatchet for my trips, so maybe it will work with that... As for the "universal" holes in this thing, I really cant see anything, except what they have pictured with the product that this would work with, even then, I am sure that the item has been modified to fit the mounting holes on this clip, because I have held a number of items up to it and nothing really lines up right. I can give it to the Tek Lok to provide a really excellent latching system though, I was impressed by the way the Tek Lok snaps to your belt loop or other stationary mounting point. The first action is an over-lever gate which needs to be flipped up, the second action is a pinch between your fore fingers to disengage two arms that snap into the top. The entire clip acts like a draw bridge type clasp, very well done on this part. I will see if I can't get some pictures up here to show the different clasping mechanisms. SO, if you can get something to mount to the holes provided in a good way and clasp this clip to your belt, IT WILL NOT COME OFF. Great clasping mechanism, but the universal tag needs to go... To improve this item for use with more items, which will redeem its "universal" quality, just don't drill any holes! I would have been more than happy to hold up my knife sheath to the back place and put my own holes in the thing, at least that way I would have (4) points of mounting, like the belt sheath it comes with rather than (2), which just doesn't cut it for me. I will be retaining this item rather than returning it, just because if I do find something it will mount to it will be awesome. But until then I stare at a device that has more holes than necessary, that serve no purpose if they don't match up to what you've got... My 2 cents, hope it helps.
