Lanterns are beautiful when they turn on at night. Hoping to purchase a couple more. Love them.

I was a bit disappointed with these when I first saw them because they're a lot smaller than I expected. Although they're some sort of plastic material they look to be very well made and personally, I think they look much better than those painted metal lanterns. Sizewise they're not much bigger than a large mug - roughly about 6 inches tall by about 4 or so inches across but I thought that, given they look like reasonable quality, I'd give them a chance. I put them out in the garden when I got them mid-afternoon and when I went to check on them after dark I was quite delighted - I think they really do look like flickering flames. They aren't particularly bright in the sense that you obviously wouldn't use them for seeing by but they're more than bright enough for what they are - which is a garden ornament that looks really good in the dark. Glad I ordered them now as I think that, while they might not be as flame-like as in the pictures they do definitely look like real flames). I might just order some more now. UPDATE: Having had these for about a year, I was pleased to see that once the days started getting longer they went back to lasting all night long. However, I noticed a couple of nights back that one had failed. OK - needs a new battery - rechargeables only have a finite life so shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, with a lot of cheap solar lights this is a very long way from the truth because what you find inside are loose wires and cheap metal fixings which look as though they've been thrown into place. Mostly, this sort of item is impossible to fix and ends up as more landfill. THIS LAMP IS NOT LIKE THAT - the battery compartment is very well built. It's extremely sturdy and the components are solidly fixed in place - exactly as they should be. Once the new battery is in place the light resumes working with no problems. I believe, in all honesty, that this is probably the most important aspect of these lights and - to use a phrase which I absolutely hate but can't be avoided in this case - you absolutely get what you pay for! From time to time they tend to have special offers so, if you hang on, you might be able to save a few pounds. I now have eight - I wonder how many I can fit in my garden without getting complaints!

The quality of my latterns is excellent and they were so easy to put together and I just put them out in the sun and at night they lit up ,charging capability very good and you can have them either on flicker or just normal ,the flame effect is lovely , a super price to recommend to any person out there thankyou 😊 😀 👍

These lights are excellent value for money. We got the first set of these lanterns in March 2024 and they have shone every night since. The photos don’t do them justice as the lights are a bright fiery orangey-red. They stay on for at least 5 hours each night when it gets dark, maybe a little bit less in the Winter. I have just bought another set of them and even with little sunlight after I out them outside, they were working straight away.
