The Right Pants For The Right Job
Just what I wanted and expected in work pants. The relaxed fit is perfect for trousers made from a rather inflexible canvas like this. They don’t bind when I need to bend, and loading my pockets with tools and such doesn’t cause them to stretch out of shape under the weight even when I’m sweating and warm. They’re durable AF. These pants may outlive *me*. It took some trial and error to find the right size (allowing for the slack of the relaxed fit), but they sit comfortably on my hips without gapping at the back of the waist (these are *not* men’s pants). The dinged star is for the fact that Carhartt can’t seem to keep black double-front work pants for women in reliable production. I don’t want stretch twill or skinny jeans or any shade of sodding *brown*. I’m an entertainment industry grip. I need black work pants that comfortably fit and that I can’t kill after half a dozen gigs. This is not an unreasonable ask of a company that brands itself as being all about work clothing. These should not be as challenging to find as they perpetually seem to be.

Nice work pant
I bought a size 8 and it is a little big but I kept them. i probably should have bought the size 6. You know they are too big when you can take them off without unbuttoning them or unzipping them. I am 5'1" so they were about 5 inches too long, but I am used to cutting off and hemming pants. I wish they came in a short length. Putting on a belt solves the problem. I do a lot of brush cutting around our property in the springtime and the material in my jeans are just too thin. I constantly get poked by briar and get rashes that require a steroid shot to resolve. I am hoping that the double front and thicker material will help solve that issue.

Good quality
Fit great, I ordered a size 13short and they fit perfectly. They are a loose fit style of pant so they are slightly loose but that was what I was looking for as I'm a welder and need to be able to move around and fit into various areas and position. I'm not the biggest fan of carhartts "newest" women's styles and much prefer the denim ones they used to have that had the vintage coloring to them, they were the best carhartt has had and miss those alot but these aren't bad, just wish they didn't have the extra large cuff at the bottom as it makes it look like I had to hem them up. Other than that, the material it still their heavy duty duck material that holds up really well.

Bet pants ever!
Update: 12/18/15I still love these pants and probably always will. I have noticed however that I've went from a size 6 to a 2. My wight is still the same, so therefore it must be the size changing. However the size 2 fit amazingly well for me. I still get 2 years out of them, which is a good thing. Just wierd how the sizes changed, but I'm glad the quality seems to be great still! Finally work pants for women. I had gotten size 10 locally because that was all they had and I decided to try amazon. I was able to try on a different style of carhartt pants and a 6 fit best. So I figured that is what I would get with the double fronts. I am glad I didn't go for a size 8. But basically with the carhartt brand, in women's, you will need to go one size down from any other brand and if you want it to be more fitted, then possibly two sizes. I am petit and short, but they fit excellent. They last for 2+ years, depending on how often you wear them. I am going to order all the colors in a 6 to stock up!

These fit great in the waist AND the hips
These fit great in the waist AND the hips, which is unusual for me because I have wide hips compared to my waist. They are roomy in the legs, but that's the "relaxed" part. 6 is my normal pant size, but I wanted to be able to fit fleece long johns underneath when it's really cold, and to be long enough for when I'm wearing boots. I'm glad I didn't have to buy pants with a wonky fit (i.e. men's pants) to achieve that. Note that without the under layer, I do have to wear a belt. All in all, very comfortable. We'll see how they hold up out in the elements this winter. Wish this size came in more colors than black and that reddish brown color.

A little too big
Ok, so I had bought a pair of these some years ago and liked them so much I ordered another pair on amazon when my old pair started getting a hole in the knee, etc. and I felt weird wearing them to work even though it's not a big deal at most of my jobs.. But this new pair seems a bit larger than the old one even though they are the same size on the label. I don't know if maybe they shrink over time, but it was a little disappointing. I still like the comfortableness and hardiness of the material though.

dont pants me at work!
I like it because it's thick, durable and for small construction workers like me! I am 5'3 and 105 lbs. The 2 short fit in the length but were baggy throughout the legs (much baggier than depicted), and they are pretty big in the waist as well. Let's just say, if i didn't wear a belt, my husband could definitely pants me while I am at the work site. They are not flattering, but I like that they are tough- so I'll just wear them with a belt and make due.

Huge waistband gap, very stiff fabric
I definitely like the relaxed fit vs the original fit. But I still find that you have to order at least one size bigger than in other brands. They fit fine in the front & hips/thighs but have at least a 6” gap in the waist in the back. The fabric is so stiff that the gap sticks straight out.
