It is good. However the instruction manual should have been more elaborate. explaining all the menus, its usage.

Clear sound. Recording quality is good. Catches distant saround noises.. External speaker is a must for clear and quality sound reproduction.. Product material is low quality plastic. Light weight.

simple to use

The quality of the product is not upto the mark.

Its a useless product, don't buy is a friendly suggestion. It's a Chinese product and not from USA. Company says its 16 GB but one that was delivered was 30 GB, was happy initially till i started using it. You can only record once and if you are looking at recording multiple lectures only the first one will be recorded and others will show as recorded but they will not play, file type not recognized is the message you will get. File name of recordings is same for all files resulting in the first one only playing - its Chinese so expect anything. So if you can carry your laptop and after each lecture transfer the recorded file to your computer then you may record the next one and keep repeating it each time. Misleading information and poor quality product in terms of finish. not at all worth the money you pay. Honest feedback.

Excellent time with inbuilt speaker and 16gb sd card only con is very costly.

It does not Record at Overnight

This was a surprise to me... a very nice quality device, which works well, and as advertised, for about $20. The sound is adequate and understandable with the small speaker, but when you transfer the files to your computer, you can hear that they are of a very good quality. I tried both the 512kbps it is set to out of the box, and the highest 1536kbps. There does seem to be a quality improvement... and with this 16GB version, that is supposed to hold 24 hours of audio. I also tested renaming the audio files while connected to the computer, and it does allow this. Your rename shows up on the recorder's screen, as you can see in one of my pictures. This is a VERY handy feature, if you are out in the field and need to find a file. But the best thing about this is the ease of use: You flip on the slide switch, then press "record", and you are good to go. Then when you finish, you press "SAVE". The list of all your files appears and you can quickly scroll them, and play which ever you want with another press of "PLAY/PAUSE". It may sound silly to point this out, but I've used a couple of more expensive, name brand units, and I often find myself needing a refresher course in recording, saving, and playing... they make you go through so many other steps for those very simple tasks. The quality is wonderful, too... although that cheap chrome plating is something I've never like on "import" electronics. But the case seems to be metal, and nicely finished. This has a very nice feel to it, all around. As people point out, it is very small. Well I have large hands, and have no problem with it. I was also surprised to see this being used in the new Netflix production, "The Beast in Me", with Claire Danes. She plays a successful writer in the series. Clearly this is some iteration of this same device... I would have expected the choice of some super-high end recorder, but they used this one... I would imagine considering the look and quality just fine for the part. All in all, I am not only impressed with what you get for the price, but even if this was a more expensive unit, with "Sony" or "Olympus" on it, I would appreciate the quality, features, and sound.
