Fits well! Unfortunately, EVERY morning, I bang the side of my funnel to clean it out! My mother still tells me to use a spoon, but I have not listened to her for the past 40 years and am not going to change now. SO... I need replacements when I have 'banged' the funnel apart. Thankfully, this is the original Bialetti, so it last many years of banging!! It fits well , is original and I buy multiples at a time waiting for that day that I may take my Italian mother's advice to lengthen the life of my funnel...

My old/classic Moka express stopped brewing but works perfectly after replacing the funnel filter and installing a new food grade silicone gasket seal.

This is the exact same funnel that came with the mocha pot originally. Over time, even with regular cleaning, the holes in the funnel become plugged. That slows down the brewing process. The new funnel fits perfectly and restores the mocha pot to its original condition.

Exactly what my pot needed to work again. Owned my pot for 6 years or so and had a nice used patina to it so I wasn't keen on buying a new one. My original filter edge was banged up so it stopped working along with the rubber seal just calling it quits (it was original ) New silicone seal and this basket and I'm back to making espresso again!!

Definitely not a Bialetti part ! just cheap aluminium. In addition to not being an original Bialetti part, it was shipped in a plastic bag in an envelope (not in a Bialetti box like advertised) and arrived bent. On the picture you can see what a REAL Bialetti looks like and what this product really is !! Waste of money !!

Here's the issue: After years of use, I misplaced the funnel filter that came with my Moka Express, so I purchased this as a replacement. However, I noticed that every time I brewed coffee using the new funnel, the coffee would come spewing out of the top like a garden hose. I tried various things like turning the heat down and putting less coffee grounds into it...no change. Luckily, I found the old funnel I had misplaced, and tried it again and BOOM, no problem whatsoever! In comparing the two funnels visually, I do see that the new funnel dimensions are slightly different than the original funnel. The basin where the ground coffee sits is 1/8-inch more shallow, and the funnel tube is wider and longer....which clearly makes all the difference in the world. Bummer.

This is the second one I’ve bought and it’s been great. My bialetti stopped working and I couldn’t figure out why. Turns out when I whack this filter on the bin to get the coffee out it bends it a tiny bit. Do that enough and it won’t seal anymore. So if your coffee machine is having pressure issues, buy one of these before you throw it away.
