Replacing an aging 1 hp Hayward pool pump that had a twist lock plug going into a twist lock outlet. New pool pump has a standard 3 prong plug. Got this, hooked it up, runs just fine. The plug that goes into the outlet on this is pretty big, so if you have a weather cover on your outlet you are going to have to bend this to get it to fit. Surprised how heavy duty this is for the price. First impression out of the box is how sturdy and well made it is. Bottom line is it works for my pool pump.

This adapter is just what I was looking for to be able to use a standard plug in the twist lock outlet for my pool pump. It is well made and heavy duty. It enabled me to use an extension cord and supply power for an outdoor tool without any difficulty. Very pleased with this purchase and worth the price I paid.

I had to replace the pump on my above ground swimming pool which turned out to be a lot more complicated than I expected. Just about every pool pump on the market comes with a standard three prong house plug. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on how you look at it) my house has an L5-20P receptacle on a grounded, separate circuit as per the latest building codes. The previous owner rewired the old pump with a compatible plug, but I’m not up to that task. If L5-20P is the new code, why do manufacturers build them the way they do? Who knows. But, after some research, I figured out that this little gadget was what I needed. Works great so far! So if you’re replacing a pool pump, this is what you need.

When you use an electric generator during a blackout the twist lock outlet offers some power advantages. This item is an easy way to convert to a standard type plug from the twistlock outlet. Construction looks good, price was very good & I had the item in a couple days.

Great for its use at the end of my Marina cable to run my sea water pump for pressure washing the teak decks!

I work for a metro fire department; this is the third time I have purchased these for work. They are my go-to for use on our ladder truck, where we use them for power tools, fans and lights on the fire ground. They are much more durable that what was issued to us by the department. The added bonus is that they are not very expensive.

I bought a new pool pump, hooked it all up & THEN noticed it had a different plug. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I didn’t want to change the outlet & timer or use an extension cord. My local hardware store was no help. It took a while but I finally found this item on here. It is exactly what I needed. I plugged the pump into it and then this cord into the timer and now my pool pump works just like the last one. The cord is not very long—which is great because I didn’t need a bunch of extra length getting in the way. It’s only been a week but so far so good!

Its a great conversion plug for a pool pump.
