I'm an afab, non binary, and autistic person and I used to wear a binder to hide my chest. I always felt so uncomfortable and sometimes I didn't want to take it off, not because of how it looked since I was alone in my apartment, but because it felt uncomfortable... I thought that was dysphoria until someone told me it might be that the compression itself helped with my sensory needs. And that's how I ended up buying a compression vest ! I was super excited to get it, though a bit scared of it not fitting (I took an M size, my measurements are 31.5" chest and 17" shoulder to waist, I think it fits well !). It is hard for me to understand how to adjust it in a way that's both effective and comfortable (especially when I'm sensitive to touch around the neck etc), and at times all the efforts and time to adjust it perfectly aren't worth it, but it's been great once I put it on ! The vest helps me a lot to know where my body is and avoid loosing balance, bumping into things, etc and I find the compression lessen my anxiety overall. I do not like wearing it under clothing, so I put it over a shirt, and my other clothing fit just fine over it (I wear unisex/men sweatshirts, blouses and hoodies usually, I'm not sure how it would fit with other clothing)

So I know how hard it is to find products for autistic adults so I'm going to be extra detailed, TLDR at bottom. The material feels nice to me. If you've ever had a copper fit brace, it feels a lot like that. It's thicker but smooth and comfortable. The Velcro type thing is easy to use and it's not the kind that makes the crazy ripping noise and has the poky parts that scratch you up like crazy. It still makes noise unstrapping it but not as high pitched as regular Velcro in my opinion. I'm guessing it would be less of an issue for guys but if you have hips and don't want it near your neck you may have to have some trial and error. It is two separate pieces so there's a lot of ability to fit different body shapes or compress one spot more than another. Also if you're wearing it out under clothes the 'straps' or whatever you call them make a bit of a bump under even a mid thickness t-shirt. For ladies just an FYI I'm a 34D and this does compress a lot, so if you're planning to wear it in public just be aware that while comfortable, you will look quite flat chested (I was wearing a bra under it in this picture and didn't have it super tight otherwise I would've been flatter). TLDR As long as you like the material and don't mind how it looks under clothes its adjustable and easy to use.
