Walker 31360 Exhaust Pipe Flange Gasket for Honda Civic

2000 Honda Civic LX, D16Y7 engine 230,000 miles on original forward "A" pipe, about 75,000 miles on OEM replacement "B" pipe (both were subjected to Minnesota winters and road salt). The gasket fit well after I cleaned all mating surfaces thoroughly of rust and scale and did a few more things: after placing the female part of the gasket onto the male A-pipe end, I inserted it into the female end of the B-pipe. I drove the gasket farther onto the A-pipe by gently tapping the B-pipe flange with a hammer. Just to be safe, I alternated sides of the flange with every other strike of the hammer. Using VERY LARGE CHANNEL LOCK PLIERS to bring the pipe ends closer together, I compressed the connector bolt springs on the connector bolts far enough to start the nuts. I applied high temp anti-seize compound to the bolt threads and installed 5/16-inch stainless steel washers before installing the nuts. 60 miles of driving later, the connection remains perfectly quiet.

Worked great on my 2006 CRV. This part goes between your exhaust and your resonator pipe. Sealed up nicely.

After removing the old baked-on gasket, the Walker 31360 gasket did not fit the exhaust pipe connection right out of the package. There was a little rust on the connection. I used emery cloth to smooth out the pipe and I had to file the inside of the gasket quite a bit before I could get it to fit properly. Once installed, it sealed up the connection very well, no leaks.

Good product. Worked perfectly on a 1996 Honda Civic LX sedan.

The seal works great however you may have to use a dremel to get the gasket to fit.

Original pipe flange gasket had melted onto the header and needed to be carved off with a blade. After cleaning the surface, this went in its place. Perfect fit on a 99 Honda Civic EX.

Not sure what its made of - some kind of soft deformable metal... maybe lead? Fit just fine between the flanges of the resonator and a new muffler on a 2001 Civic. Just make sure to chip off the old flange and clean off the surface of the receiving pipe, and gently tap it on so it stays without deforming it. The pressure of the two pipe flanges being bolted together will cause it to deform and seal the joint over time.

Pretty solid seals so far. Inused them around my flex pipe on an 09 suzuki sx4, they fit perfectly and are doing a fine job sealing those joints.
