Love, Splat: A Fun and Heartfelt Valentine's Day Book about a Loveable Cat, for Kids (ages 4-8) (Splat the Cat)

Splat returns in this lovely sequel. This book can easily be read as a stand alone. Splat has Valentine's Day card for all in his class especially one for Kitten. But wait, Spike like kitten too and his card is MUCH bigger. Splat loses hope but Kitten steps in with her card for Splat. There is not a large color palate here but it isn't necessary. Splat's emotions shine through and his big heart shows.This would be a good book to read to a young child.

Splat is the most adorable cat ever! I am studying to be a teacher and this book will absolutely be used in my classroom. He is so kid-friendly and his feelings are relatable. This book would be great for Valentine's Day, entertainment, or to talk about relationships. This book, as well as the other Splat books are a must for any teacher or child's library. I subbed for a kindergarten class a few days before Valentine's Day and they were glued to this book.

Splat the Cat is one of my favorite characters for Primary readers. The stories are hilarious and the artwork top notch. Children adore Splat and love to find the spider hiding on most of the pages. You will not be disappointed with this or any Splat book. My son had all of these books and I buy every one available for my school collection.

This is the third Splat the Cat book I've bought for my 2 year old son, and it may be the best! It lives up to the other Splat books - well written with great illustrations. My son has chosen this as his bedtime story every night for two weeks. Can't recommend it highly enough. Just make sure when reading it to pull your child's ears and poke their belly at the appropriate time!

I bought this book for my son, who has autism. He loves stories about animals, especially when they are eing goofy.

WE REFUSE TO SEND OUR 5 YR OLD TO SCHOOL 6 1/2 HOURS PER DAY WITH 30KIDS PER CLASS WITH 1 TEACHER AND HALF NOT SPEAKING OR UNDERSTANDING ENGLISH! WE decided our kids deserved better! It was not something we planned on doing BUT LIKE I SAID.... we have sons going right into 1st grade that can read write & spell & do numbers BETTER THAN MOST OF THE ENTIRE 1ST GRADER CLASS OF 2009! WITHOUT PUTTING IN 6 HOURS PER DAY.... Our sons are HONOR ROLL PRINCIPLES LIST AS WELL & BOOKS ARE a WONDERFUL REWARD FOR OUTSTANDING BEHAVIOR IN CLASS & OUT! Thats when we are not ROCKin OUT TO VAN HALEN DAVID LEE ROTH ADAM ANT OR SKID ROW OR ALL AMERICAN REJECTS OR CINDERELLA OR AC/DC......YEAH EVEN HANNAH MONTANA PINK & KISS..... SO THERE IT IS... WE HAVE ALL HIS BOOKS & THE KIDS 10 TO 6 LOVE EM....

My 3 year old grandaughter discovered this book at the library. She loved it so much, I ordered one to keep in our collection. I am disappointed that it's a little smaller than the library book, but I guess that is reflected in the smaller price tag. I like hardcover books better than paperbacks, so I do think, this is worth it. Very cute story, and great for Valentines Day.

Love these stories and this one didn't disappoint. Good illustrations too. Bought for a 5 and 7 year old who enjoy this range of stories. Highly recommend it.

The artwork in the Splat the Cat books is very, very good. There is so much detail that you can look at the picture over and over again. I buy these books for myself but I take them to school to share with my year 6 class - 10/11 year olds. Both girls and boys like reading them. They are books that are good for two people to read together as I often see children pointing out and discussing the extra little details in the pictures, and the story.
