Absolutely great product. Quality Meanwell drivers coupled with Samsung diodes. Can move the drivers out of the tent if you wanted to to reduce heat. Quality buildand construction is great, is obvious as soon as you open the packaging. The best light for this price point, after all my research I'm really glad I chose this over a more expensive light. I thought I was only buying what I could afford, but I was actually buying something that out performed more expensive lights, as I've personally seen the difference between mine and a friend that spent double the money, with mine out performing it. This is my own personal experience.

Driver went out after only 13 months, i was pissed but customer service was incredible and they sent me a new ballast which i only had to pay shipping for. The light itself is truly top of the line, sf for the win!

Update 7/4/2024: Came down to my grow tent this morning and lo and behold the other Spider driver burned out. Couldn't be worse timing considering it's July 4th and this plant is about 3 weeks from harvesting. Super disappointed in this company. Will NEVER buy from them again, brand is everything and you guys are blowing it. So like with the other led panel which their driver also burned out on I'm going to replace with another meanwell driver hlg-480h ordered through a company that I trust. With holiday probably won't get the driver for three to four days and have to rotate two plants on a 12x12 cycle so they both get some light. It's going to stunt their growth and their yield so thanks a lot Spider. For future readiness I'll probably buy a spare driver so I always have a backup on hand but hindsight is 20/20. Oh well not going to let it ruin my 4th! Update 4/8/2024: Well one of the drivers just failed and lights are now off on one of my sf4000's 🤨. They have been in use, largely on a 12/12 cycle for 7 months so of course I'm very disappointed. Thank goodness my plants are close to being done with flowering this cycle or this would have caused some serious issues. I will likely attempt to get it replaced through the warranty path but that becomes its own hassle and time-consuming effort. I have a Meanwell HLG-480H driver that I have been running for years without incident. In fact I might just end up matching driver specs to a Meanwell driver and replacing the Spider one with one of theirs. Anyway I hope this doesn't happen to any one else. Grow lights are so core to the success of someone's grow that we should never have to be worried about quality control issues. Older Update: I added couple photos for reference. The grow lights have held up well and I have gotten good yields twice now. Original:I have been running my own led grow lights for past few grows but I wanted expand to a 8x8 tent and decided to buy instead of build more. Picked up the Spider 4000 and then decided to buy another one. You will get varying comments on coverage but my personal take is you need 3 - 4 of these for 8x8 full coverage. PAR measurements drop a good bit at edges and they are not that big to begin with. I expect in flower when they are at top of tent coverage is better but not in vegetation stages where they are 2 feet away from plants so keep that in mind. Their spectrum is better than the diodes I use and mixed so hoping to get some better colors in my leaves and flowers. So far the plants I have growing are soaking in the light and look very healthy. Looking forward to flowering. Also one of the reasons you should get these lights in smaller sets is because it is easier to move them around and they can be at different heights depending on your plants needs so that is a pro. A con however is the heat. The driver's are mounted to the led plate and it runs very very hot. Will raise temps in your tent but could also diminish life of the unit. So you will need to get a small fan and dedicate it blowing on the driver 24x7. Alternative is to remove the driver and put outside the tent. But that requires rewiring and most folks are not comfortable doing that. But it is the logical way to set lights up, with drivers on outside of tent and your carbon filter vent air outside tent and on to the driver's to keep them cool. Any case small fan will help. All in all they look great and I will look to post some photos to this review once things hit flowering. Costly but going cheap in this space and you will get burned with fake diodes and cheap drivers. You will get exactly what you pay for. Good luck growers!

Recently purchased the sf4000 4x4. I had a question about the units leds and customer service from Amazon working with spider farmer and spider farmers company itself were quick to email me and take care of my questions. They're very kind and courteous and I am very happy with her products. I have purchased two 2x2s and two 4x4s and I am extremely pleased with my results the products and the company in general. I truly believe they strive to make their customers happy and I am very very satisfied and would recommend their products to anyone who would love to get in any type of gardening. Update+++ So I had the light less than one year... The driver failed on it and going through their customer service was not that nice. During the middle of a grow even though I had a defective item they still would not let me return through Amazon and basically jumping through hoops of fire dealing with their customer service that wasn't very adequate it took over 5 months to get my light back... Don't even know if it's new or if it's my old one but I won't be doing business with spider farmer ever again. When the products work they work but when it's garbage and you're relying on your light to be returned to you during a flowering grow... Well, let's just say I had to go buy another light through a different manufacturer that had more nicer customer service and since that unit failed as well they took care of my invoice within 2 days through the other company. Us as growers can't wait over 5 months to get a replacement light when I know it's broken you guys know it's broken it's your defect and I'm jumping through hoops of fire with emails trying to translate they're broken English... Nice real nice.
