Sometimes I just want to quickly pull my hair up a bit differently than a ponytail. This takes care of business. It is well made but it IS plastic so eventually it will break. My first one lasted a couple years so I am okay with that. I don't have super thick hair and am doubtful this would work well for those that do.

Need to be careful. The spring will break off from the barest if you pull your hair too tight

Pretty + elegant. Firm hold all day. But... after less than a year of minimal use, it broke at the hinge this morning. Now In two pieces + tiny bit of plastic lost on the floor somewhere. I have similar hairclips from 30+ years ago that are still intact. Very disappointed.
