Excellent All‑Steel Knives That Perform Better Than Expected!!
I’ve owned several Cuisinart knives over the years, and this all–stainless steel set is definitely one of their winners. Each knife is forged from a single piece of steel, giving them a sleek, modern look and a sturdy feel. I’ll admit when I first saw the stainless steel handles, I assumed they would be slippery, especially when chopping veggies. Luckily, that wasn’t the case at all. They’re surprisingly comfortable, well‑balanced, and offer a secure grip even during longer prep sessions. The standout for me is the 7” Santoku knife (C77SS-7SAN-25K). It’s a Japanese style incredibly sharp, solidly built, and the longer blade length gives you great control. If you’re used to a 5" Santoku, it may feel a bit heavier and may take a little bit of getting used to, but once you do, it’s hard to go back. Like the rest of the knives in the set, this one arrives razor‑sharp and stays that way as long as you care for it properly. My next best favorite is the western style Chef's knife (C77SS-CF-25K) which is what most folks like including the chefs as it allows to cut a wide variety of vegetables and fruits. It has a curved edge("belly") with a pointed tip. My Third favorite cutting knife is the Slicing Knife (C77SS-SL-25K) which is specifically useful for slicing large cuts of either cooked meat or fish. It has a long, narrow blade with a pointed tip. I found this to be useful for cutting larger fruits like Watermelon, Melons or gourds etc. as the longer blade allows you to cut/slice them their vertical length. To keep these knives in top shape, here are a few care tips I personally follow: Use the right cutting surface: Stick to wood or plastic cutting boards. Harder surfaces like glass, stone, or metal will dull the blade quickly. Hand‑wash only: Clean with warm, soapy water and dry immediately with a soft cloth. Make sure the knife is completely dry before storing it. Avoid scraping with the sharp edge: If you need to move chopped ingredients, flip the knife over and use the back of the blade or a scraper. Store properly: Always use the included sheath. Storing knives loose in a drawer can damage the edge and create a safety hazard. If you follow these simple steps, these knives will stay sharp and serve you well for a long time. Overall, this is a great quality set that delivers excellent value and performance. Highly recommend!

This cutlery set is the first I've ever owned. I really needed a decent set since it was time for me to look for my own place. That's not to say that I've never used knives, however. These knives are very sharp and hold a good edge. I know this because I'm an avid knife sharpener and own a few whetstones. They are kind of brittle, but that's because it's hardened steel. Pros: Very sharp Holds a good edge Nice machined feel (Not too slippery) Very ergonomic Stainless steel throughout (No soggy wood) Plenty of variety Straight edged steak knives (Cleaner cut) Beautiful display block Cons: Kind of brittle (Delicate) Will rust a bit if left wet Slots for steak knives are crooked (Knives are displayed staggered) A bit light (I would prefer them to be a bit heavier) The main butcher's knife did break; the tip of the butcher's knife broke off. I contacted Cuisinart directly by phone for a warranty replacement. The CSR was very polite and informative during our conversation, but wasn't very clear about when I would receive my replacement or if I would have to pay the five dollar replacement fee. I waited almost two weeks, and right before I was about to call back, the knife arrived in the mail. It was brand new and I was charged no fee. Cuisinart gets an A for dependability, but a C for communication. That gives them a solid B overall for handling the situation. I have had no issues since. The knives are great and the price is right. If you're looking for a great cutlery set and a modest price, this Cuisinart 15-Piece Stainless Steel Hollow Handle Block Set is the way to go.

Great kitchen knives at a great price
I purchase this cutlery set to replace an older Chicago Cutlery set purchased 14 years ago. Originally I was skeptical of its quality of the knives. Cuisinart has been known for reliable quality electronic kitchen appliances. So when I spotted this set, I had to purchase them. Six serrated steak knives, a bread knife, steak knife, pairing knife, heavy duty kitchen shears and more!! Each have a very comfortable metal handle that is milled specifically to prevent slipping. The display block is solidly made and has rubber feet to keep them displayed in place. Each blade seems balanced and comfortable making them easy to use. I love the serrated everyday steak knives. I have seen similar knife sets from those claiming German Steal and Japanese knives for over 3 times of the cost of these. As an everyday user, I doubt that I could tell the difference between these knives as opposed to those higher priced ones. So far, I am very impressed.

The best knife for many.
These knives are amazing and the set has everything you need: chef knife, santoku knife, carving knife, paring knife, bread knife and more. You’re literally only missing a Chinese chopper and a meat cleaver. These aren’t the best knives in the world, but for many users there isn’t a better knife. The first thing to note is that good knives need care. If you drop your several hundred dollar Zwillig J.A. Henckles in the sink to soak and forget them over night you may find a loose handle when you go to grab the knife. High end knives need to be cared for. These however are not expensive, and are all one piece. They hold an edge well and feel great in your hands and if one of the less serious cooks in your house leaves them soaking overnight your knives will be fine. Honestly the best knives for 99% of people who rather not have to spend time caring for yet another kitchen item. They’re attractive even if they don’t turn heads like my Tuo set, but also unlike my Tuo set - I’m not constantly and nervously looking over my shoulder when anyone else tried to use them.
