This Is Great Cookware!
I have had the 10 piece set for a little over a year now and love it. Quality is very high as is performance. A few tips: Always preheat the skillets before adding oil or protein. Always! Do not use on high heat. Yes, stainless can suffer from sticking and it is due to user error. Cleaning, if used properly is easy. I always hand wash and dry. If something, such as scrambled eggs, do stick a bit, a few minutes soaking will loosen the material and allow easy clean up. If necessary, a cleaner like Bar Keepers Friend can be used. Finally, I take good care of the surfaces and only use wooden or plastic utensils in them. This has been an excellent purchase for me.

Seriously the best cookware ever!
I have owned this set for three years. I cook daily, using all the pieces (except the small fry pan). I have used and abused them-yikes. There is a learning curve with SS cookware. Always heat, then oil pans before introducing food. DON'T use high heat. Well, I broke the rule and was heating the remainder of a chicken marinade to make a sauce. Forgot about it and burned it right into my pan. I panicked, trying to soak it for days in soapy water. It didn't budge. Then it occurred to me that it was a mixture of oil (and sugar), so I poured olive oil about two inches deep, set the pan on low for a while. Amazingly it stared to come loose when I picked at it with a fork (I know, not good). I got all of it off, then used Barkeeper's Friend to polish off the dark areas. I swear, it looks like new!! I will be more careful in the future, but this pan had no scrapes or pitting. I think these are neigh on indestructible. Bravo for a product that actually lives up to its hype. I know these will last my lifetime

Former Professional Chef Approved
I love these pans and am so glad all the former reviews panned (haha) out to be true. I’ve used these extensively now for over a year and can confirm they are a GREAT set that I expect will last many many years to come! A few pieces of advice to get the most out of this (or any) set of quality stainless steel pans: - They are dishwasher safe but I do not ever put them in the dishwasher. They clean so easily and fast that the potential harm far outweighs cleaning them by hand. If needed, soak for an hour or two with some hot water and soap. Try not to let them soak for extended periods of time. With that in mind I did in fact get lazy once and leave a pan to soak for a week because, depression and all - and they didn’t get harmed. So that is a huge deal! - I use a regular sponge to clean them. I do this to avoid scratching them. The soak should be all you need to get stuff stuck off them. - When I finish drying them to avoid water spots I use a towel to dry them off 95% of the way and let them air dry the final bit before putting them into my cabinet. - For spotting over time, barkeepers friend and or the pink stuff will take it right off. You can also make a homemade cleaner with some vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda - but the first 2 I mentioned are cheap and work so well I don’t bother. - if you struggle with these especially if you used non-stick in the past - be patient. Start with less heat than you’d use with a non-stick. Use more oil than you’d use in a non-stick. I personally prefer my nonstick for say, eggs. But a steak or fish or chicken or vegetables where I want some charring and browning? This is the way to go. (Or a cast iron if that’s more your thing.). - I bought a cheap steaming basket on Amazon that fits into the largest pot and it works great to steam veggies etc. the largest pot is big enough for me to make 20 large servings of cheese for Mac n cheese on Thanksgiving - It’s quite large. Overall for the price point, the variety of sizes and uses these pans provide and the overall longevity I’ll get from this purchase I fully recommend them. If I had one single thing to critique it’s that the lids do not fit all of the pans. The largest frying pan is larger than any of the lids which, is a shame. Sometimes I have things I need a lid for which is frustrating.. but other than that it’s damn near perfect!

Handles stay cool - no fry pan lids! :(
I love these pans but hate that the fry pans don't have lids! At least give me an option to buy the lids! How am I supposed to steam eggs?! Luckily my old pans that I replaced with these have lids that fit the fry pans. But now my set is mixmatched and it drives me bonkers. The handles do stay cool though and that's the only reason I'm keeping these. They also heat up quickly on the lowest setting on my gas range. Nice pans but so annoying that they don't all have lids. I'm shocked that the pot lids don't fit the pans too. I'm not asking for much here calphalon. At least have an option to buy them or make the pot lids fit the fry pans or something. The only fry pan with a lid is the biggest one. I use the smallest one the most to cook eggs and I use the lid to steam the top of the egg. Can't do that with these unless you have a lid from another set. Pros 1) stay cool handles actually stay cool (base of handle can get warm but it's never hot unless you are really cranking up the heat which you never need to with these. Obviously handles get hot if you put in the oven / bake.) 2) I like the curved edge and pour spout 3) measure marks - never use because they are in metrics but if I knew the conversion rates it's a nice feature 4) pan heats quick on low setting 5) I like the clear lids and lids with the strainer 6) good quality for the price - does come with less pans then others priced the same but you probably don't need the extra pans that come with other sets. Also, the other stainless steel ones get extremely hot handles (we tested them) and this was the only set that was stainless steel with cool handles in the price range. Cons 1) no fry pan lids or lids that even fit the two smaller fry pans! 2) doesn't have a very large stir fry pan - although I think you can buy this separately in a different style - wish you could add on the same BIG fry pan 3) wish you could have more options to customize your set with identical pans/pots. All in all I like these pans. If my old lids didn't fit these smaller fry pans I'd be pretty peeved. I'm still annoyed I don't have matching lids but at least I can still cook while trying to find out if I can get lids for these. Still shocked that the pot lids can't fit the fry pans. For the price I'd still buy them though.

Happy with my Calphalon cookware set

I’m very happy I invested in this product. It’s been a while I have been trying to get rid of all my non stick pans. These pots and pans are just amazing once you get the hang of using them. They do need more oil/fat to fry things but that is Norma for stainless steel pans. You have to let the pan heat well n then add your oil/fat. I am very happy and highly recommend this product.

Absolutely love this set of cookware, for both stove and oven use. So easy to clean too!!

Received the package on time, and was at first happy to see everything has arrived safely, but after matching the lids to the pots and pan I discovered that the lids don't sit tight on the pans, there is a few millimeters gap between them. I have other Calphalone utensils previously purchased from amazon.com a few years ago and there the lids sit tight. For the price we had paid this is nonsense. Update: black stains after first use, very low-quality steel. Disgrace.

Good quality and sturdy handles and lids. Does attract stains inside but using a metal sponge most of it comes off.
