I never realized i needed these so much until i had them. Great for skimming fat or other stuff off your creations.

The description says the skimmer has 6,000 holes. I did not count them so I will take their word on it - but there are 3 sizes and each can't have 6,000 holes or the size of hole would have to be either larger or smaller depending on which one is purported to have 6,000 holes. Also the copy indicates the size of the hole is .1" - of course it is not 1/10th of an inch. That aside they look good. Right out of the box I decided to see how well they wold strain. To start I filled each one with water and was disappointed the water stayed in the spoon. My thought was just how this is and now I must return the item. Before going to the trouble to make a return I watched the videos and read some reviews. Of course those videos and photos were taken showing a spoon that had been cleaned. I washed each one with Palmolive and retested. Water did drain from the spoon - but not as well as I expected. Then I gave each a round with a degreaser. Once again ran the water test and was mostly satisfied with the result. I'll use them over Thanksgiving to see if they work as the seller and the 5 star ratings say they do. I like the punched metal over the wire net skimmers due to the strength of the resulting mesh. It appears they will be easy to clean - dishwasher safe and no nooks for food to get trapped, I bought the 3 size set.

Great fro what it's made for. Solid metal plate, NOT WIRE MESH, so you don't have to worry about it tearing. 3 is overkill, but the price was unbeatable.

Nice and were small openings but should be great for filtering out stuff or skimming off the top.
