Seamaid Women's Hiking Pants Water-Resistant Quick Dry Lightweight Cargo Joggers with Zipper Pockets for Outdoor Travel

I bought these hiking pants in green and grey for my trip to Yellowstone. I wanted the pockets to hold my car keys, cellphone, drivers license & credit cards on me at all times when I left my car to sight see. I worried that the thin weave fabric would not hold these items and that it would be uncomfortable to sit in for the long hours in the car. The fabric was instead just perfect--light to wear, held all my stuff with no sagging, and had some stretch that made sitting in them comfortable. I left my stuff in the pockets and wore each pair two days. No sagging and they laundered well with no shrinking. I then went plein air painting in the grey pair after returning home from Yellowstone. The wind blew down my easel and dumped my orange oil solvent all over the leg. I did not wash them immediately. I wore them two more days. I pre-treated the oily stain with Kiss-Off and then ran a soak cycle in Oxyclean before laundering with my usual detergent. It took two rounds of this, but the stain came out completely. I was very impressed. Oil is very hard to get released out of polyester and this was a MAJOR stain. I would definitely buy more of these pants as needed.

Fabric is very light, so good for travel. Typical synthetic feel though. Size is fine: I’m Australian 14, ordered XL to be on safe side and they’re a little large but that’s better than too small, plus you can pull the elasticated waist cord tighter. They’re too long but I expected that - my fault for weighing too much for my height, which is 5’4” (163cm). They have ankle pull cords so I’ll put tucks in the legs. Pockets are great: 2 zippered side pockets, a zippered vertical pocket on both legs and a zippered back pocket. Fit is roomy and the legs hang well, so good for moving around in and look reasonably classy. There’s 1 white embroidered Seamaid logo left hip - not too obvious. All in all, pretty happy. Delivery from US quite prompt.

I wanted pants that I could wear on my travels to other countries For hiking and exploring trips I don’t carry a lot of clothes with me so it was important to have something that looked nice but that could wash and dry quickly. I tried these out and they’re perfect. I have a 32 1/2 inch inseam and they fit right to the ankle. If you’re hiking in Areas where there are lots of insects the drawstring closure on the ankles is a nice touch. The pants are generously cut so they’re not too tight in the hips and thighs and have a drawstring and elastic in the waist so you can get super comfy in these. All the pockets are a plus and the price is great. These are great option for anybody who spends a lot of time in the outdoors.

These pants are comfortable and seem to be pretty breathable. Definitely light weight. They do not make a lot of noise while walking. The ankle has a pull cord which would be good for hikers to keep bugs out of your pant leg. I plan to remove them so they'll just be loose ankle pants. The zippers appear to be sturdy and you have 5 pockets. 2 at the waist, 2 at the leg and one at the butt. All big enough for my Google cell phone. The drawstring at the waist can cinch the waist a little but it isn't needed. I'm 5'9" and they are long and fit just right when wearing tennis shoes. I'm 190 lbs and wear a 14-16 pant. The XL fits perfect. The material is 94% polyester and 6% elastane which gives it a little give. I've had scrubs before in this fabric and I love it. It dries quickly when traveling and in the dryer, although I usually air-dry most of my clothes. I purchased these for traveling in Italy with all the pickpocketing and to stash my phone when needed. I'm planning to purchase another pair for the price. I got the black and it's a true dark black. Washing instructions say cold water with like colors, but since this is polyester after one wash they'll be washed with anything. Do not iron, use fabric softener or dry clean. Only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars, where the pockets are seen on the front leg, you can feel those seams. I was unsure about that so I walked on the treadmill in them for 30 minutes and it was fine. If I was hiking a long distance it might be annoying. From a design standpoint there's about a half inch seam that you can put your fingers under where they've sewn the leg pockets. When you sit down, it sticks out a bit, like wings. For my purpose I don't care, but it is a little different than I've seen before.
