Brilliant peace of kit, and for the money it’s well worth it for the added bit of security, super easy to set up with the Aqara app then also adding it to Apple Home is a breeze. The picture is brilliant and crystal clear, the sound quality is also great as well. Overall the functionality of the device is brilliant. Will be purchasing more. It also acts as a hub so you can connect all over Aqara devices to it - perfect for such a simple set up without having hubs connected to the router

Having used this camera for several months now and still being pleased with and impressed by it I decided to write a short review. If you are looking for an Apple HomeKit compatible camera look no further! It has given me peace of mind when away from home to check in on my dogs. This camera seamlessly integrated with Apple HomeKit, and not only delivers crystal-clear video but also serves as a hub for my other Aqara devices. Its intuitive interface made for easy setup and management, while the advanced features like motion detection and two-way audio keep me connected and informed. As a very handy extra it serves as a siren when door sensors are triggered during the nighttime. This Aqara camera has impressed me so much that I have purchased several other of their products since.

I love everything about this camera. Integrates with Apple HomeKit, it is very responsive when viewing and has multiple scenarios for activations. It doubles up as a hub, I have added door sensors so if the garage door opens it sounds an alarm and starts recording. All recorded video is stored in Apple and does not use your usage. My only gripe (which could be my Wi-Fi, currently setting up a home Wi-Fi mesh to see if it fixes) is it drops out randomly and goes offline. I will update once the Wi-Fi mesh is in place. Other than the Wi-Fi drops, which could be no fault of the camera, I highly recommend it.

This camera serves as a hub for all Aqara devices, ensuring almost instantaneous notifications to activity detected by other cameras and sensors in the Aqara family. Setup is a breeze using the Aqara app and the image quality is incredibly sharp - even when using night vision. There’s plenty of storage options, (MicroSD, NAS, Aqara cloud and, if linked to HomeKit, iCloud). The built-in speaker and microphone allows two-way communication and the optional alarms are frightening/irritating enough to scare the cat. I haven’t yet got to grips with the many settings and linking to Apple Home isn’t as straightforward as it should be, however this isn’t enough to mark the product down. Overall, this is one of a series of excellent smart home devices from Aqara and I was impressed enough with my first G2H Pro camera to immediately buy another. As alluded to above, I also use three window/door sensors to complement the cameras and it hasn’t been a waste of money. I hope the company considers outdoor cameras for the UK market soon.

Has worked great up until ios26 onwards. Now refuses to connect to HomeKit. As I have other Aqara products and this is the main hub it now renders them all useless in HomeKit. Aqara are quick to respond but all they can offer is “reset WiFi and all devices”. This hasn’t worked over the last few months so won’t fix it now. Was a 5* product until iOS 26 upwards.

I got this to install in the lounge as I need to be able to keep an eye on my mother who sadly has dementia when I am not in the lounge. It is connected up to my Apple HomeKit system so I am able to make sure things are ok when I am in the kitchen or upstairs (or even away from home via my iPhone). The picture quality is great and although I do not actually make use of it the night vision is astounding - when the room is in pitch darkness the camera produces a superb image. This gives me peace of mind to work around the house whilst being able to keep an eye things just in case.

* This is placed near the front door entrance. * Works well with Home kit and displays a direct feed on Apple TV and on a Mac * You will need a 5v 1amp adapter as it is NOT supplied. I used an Apple usb charger. * Connection is stable as my internet router is very close. * supplied USB cable was short for my needs and I instead ordered a 6m Micro USB cable. Great little camera for the home and simple to set up

Great quality but often dropping and rebooting on HomeKit network for no reason . I have also g2 original on home network /HomeKit and running without issues .

About to purchase my 3rd! I use these with Express mode in the Aqara app, which means I am yet to create an Aqara account. I only use it with HomeKit and it works great. It's significantly cheaper than alternatives like Eve. Receives regular updates (must be done through Aqara app), and so far it has been stable and even improved a little. All HomeKit features like HKSV, Two-Way Audio, etc, work perfectly.

The product is used on a stable network but it keeps déconnecting after few minutes operation. Real disapointment, poor value for money.

Good - Nice design that blends in the home - Can be used as an Aqara Hub - Integrates with HomeKit - Support Apple Home Secure Video Bad - Some newer Aqara products use Thread but this camera only supports Zigbee. Which means if you buy any Thread Aqara products you will need a separate Thread Hub for them.
