Pleasant shaving oil that works well
Two years ago I didn't know about shaving oils and still don't understand why shaving cream by itself isn't completely adequate. Having said that, 1) shaving oil helps provide a smoother feeling shave and 2) my blades seem to last longer. So now I always use an oil and the shaving cream. I have tried several types of shaving oil from low- to high-cost. The lower costs oils got the job done, but the pricier oils seem to be better for one reason or another. I.e. thicker, smell better, or (Art of Shaving) nicer bottle. I like the Truefitt and Hill product the best of all that I have tried. This is subjective but here are my personal reasons: 1) the oil is neither so thick that it feels greasy, nor so thin that it feels useless [note that neither of these perceptions may indicate how well the oil actually does it's job, they all seem to be better than going without]; 2) The bottle feels a tad thin, and is plastic. This seems negative, but in fact it allows you to gently press to better control the number of drops of oil you use each time. You lose some control with the 'nicer' Art of Shaving glass bottles. 3) I love the bright lemon/citrus scent of this oil. I didn't think I would like it, but now look forward every morning to smelling this when I shave. Go figure. 4) Cost - yes, it is expensive, but acceptable to me given that I only use 4-5 drops per shave.

Replenish lost oils & Enjoy a smooth Shave
Best Pre-shave Oil I’ve tried. The Safety Razor Glides smoothly. Worth investing in my facial care, you bet!

On my Second bottle. Zero burn and incredibly smooth glide and shave
I didn't even know what a preshave oil was but I really enjoy T&H and the description seemed worthwhile. Pro - It isn't oily - It applies smoothly - smell is very light and pleasant -WORKS, I have zero shave burn and razor glides over my face. - only use two gentle shakes so it lasts me around 6 months - whatever 'extra' is on my hands i rub on the back of my hands and rest of my face. I notice a difference - bottle fits in my shave kit and TSA isn't a problem. Cons - it's not cheap

it a good product, soft before blade shaving. I used to shave manually bi-weekly. This small portion last 1 year long

Good product. Smells like candy/lemoncello
Smells like lemon candy, which I don’t love but don’t hate; in any case, the scent doesn’t linger or interfere with scent of aftershave products. Works well and lasts long. I use 5-6 drops per shave, twice a week. Bottle lasts for months with this schedule. It is pricey and I intend to try less expensive alternatives, but this is a quality product. No irritation associated with use. Update: I tried a competing, less expensive, product and I must say that I prefer this one.

Remarkable
I've used a several different oils and found some small advantage from 1 or 2 of them. Many rationales people give for why a particular oil confers great benefits come off half-baked when I hear them. I get how "protective barriers" or "great lubrication" are going to improve your shave and reduce tug or irritation and I believe anyone who says that of a product they use based on personal experience. For me, the MOST important factor is how much irritation and redness is present the DAY AFTER you shave. I'm almost 30 and there's always stubble the very next day no matter how close or irritation-free the day-before shave was. It would be nice if I could take my DE razor to my face and neck for two or three days in a row, but doing that with ANY amount of irritation or redness from the day before is asking for problems. My major problem area: the neck. You could say every pass is "against the grain" because my neck basically grows in a spiral pattern. One of the claims I usually deem outlandish about oils is that they actually succeed in softening the whiskers/the beard/the stubble itself. Lubrication helps. Protective barriers help, I guess. But actually softening the whiskers, for my situation, would have to be the most desirable effect. Shave cream might do this. Getting your beard moisturized and warmed up probably also does it. Maybe a pre-shave oil could, but I had my doubts. I put five drops of this on my palm, rubbed my hands together, and applied it to my face and neck. It's a thin oil. Once you apply it, you can't tell it's there. I then applied regular natural shave cream with my silver tip badger brush as usual. No irritation afterwards, and no irritation the day after either. Back to the shave though - this must somehow truly soften the hairs, which is the claim I'm most skeptical of for oils. My DE razor (I use Japanese Feather blades) went over every area like I was on a third pass, or like there was no razor loaded. I'm really impressed with this oil. Absolutely no irritation or redness on any part of my face or neck the next day. I can't recall a time that's happened - not a single bump or red spot that I wouldn't be able to go over again 24 hours later. This little 2oz bottle is going to last a very long time. The spout has a tiny hole and the plastic is firm enough that you can dispense small controlled drops. I'm sold. See what it can do for you. 1/13/17 update; More is More. (2 small details to add) I pointed out that the bottle is a firm plastic. You can squeeze out quite a lot if you want, but it still keeps goons like me from killing a whole bottle in 2 weeks. And it's a TWO OUNCE BOTTLE. I'm not even half way through it. I got my brother-in-law the 4oz bottle for xmas and I'm purchasing a 4oz bottle for myself right now with my amz points. I've also added a few drops of the oil to the mug when I whip up my lather. Verdict: more is more, baby. Given my spirally neck growth and apparent proneness to ingrowns, I'm surprised how aggressive I'm able to be these days with the gear I use — Japanese Feather blades and a DE slant razor set to a moderately aggressive blade exposure.

MUST HAVE!!!!
My facial hair is like barbed wire. Typically I get one good shave even with my safety razor using feather blades before I notice tugging and dullness. With this stuff not only does the razor glide, and I mean GLIDE through my razor-slayer facial hair, but the blades last longer. I am getting 3-4 shaves out of one blade. Awesome product and the scent is great as well, it is not strong and has a wonderful citrus layer.

No produce brillos.

Lovely scented citrussy shaving oil. Absurdly expensive but only a few drops needed so should last ages. A luxury addition to my very enjoyable daily shaving routine. Not essential by any means but gives just that bit of extra skin protection and moisturising.

Consiglio rivenditore e prodotto. Un leggero disguido con la spedizione.
