Great natural lip balm, not shiny at all, moisturizes well
For those wondering this is a smooth but stiffer waxy type lip balm that takes quite a few times going over your lips to get a thick coating on them. It is very matte and not shiny at all, it's the only kind of lip balm my son will use. The area around my son's lips also tends to get chapped so he often has to apply lip balm to the whole outside area of his lips, which can look really weird with shiny lip balm, but with this stuff it's not visible at all. Pros: Great lip balm for those that don't want shinny lips, it's completely matte Thick and moisturizing Lasts a long time It's all natural (this is the most important part for me) Options of nice natural scents that aren't too strong The only con for me is the label, it's on a really thick cardboard like sticker that tends to get caught while in a pocket or purse which causes it to curl and pick up lint and dirt. However, I'm willing to live with it because we love this lip balm.

Excellent product
I always had very dry lips. As soon as I started to use this product I saw a difference in my lips. I finally found a good brand that works!

GOOD stuff!
This product is great. I like the one with the little bit of mint. My lips like it better than anything else I've used. I really like the Aquafor too but it's so expensive. This works just as well.

Very creamy and lasts a long time.
I originally tried in lavendar and out of a couple of brands I bought this was my favorite due to the viscosity of the balm. It's rich and creamy. I wanted to get some pepermint lip balm, and tried other brands, but came back to Portland bee balm because the texture. I like that it's a bit thicker and stays on my lips and lasts a lot longer actually creating a good moisturizing barrier, especially when it's cold outside. It still applies smooth. The best word to describe it is creamy, which is why I like it so much.

Great Lip Balm!
I love this lip balm! It is soothing, and just the right amount of "minty."

wrapper disintegrates but other than that it's amazing
I love this balm so much and have purchased multiple times, the lavender for myself and the mint for hubs. But, the new glitter wrapper is terrible, not only does it not hold up in my husband's pocket but it's sparkly. I get the old wooden ones weren't very cost-effective but maybe there's something more hardy out there that isn't glittery?

Great lip balm for sensitive lips
I have had allergic reactions to ingredients in quite a few lip balms. I have to be careful of what I use. This is my favorite lip balm. It is thick enough to last for a while without reapplying thanks to the beeswax. Recently the packaging changed from the wooden wrap around the plastic tube, which is kind of a bummer. The product seems the same otherwise.

My new daily lip balm
As someone who constantly chews their perpetually dry lips, I've been using a certain yellow tube of beeswax lip balm for the past 15 years. This review is using that lip balm as a frame of reference, as it's the only other brand I've been able to stand (at least until their cost-cutting measures have ruined it). This stuff doesn't crumble and break apart when applying it. Doesn't feel as thick and waxy on your lips either, a bit more akin to traditional chapstick though still significantly thicker and less oily feeling. Seems to stick around longer, requiring fewer reapplications. I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of minty tingle, but that's probably a good thing as mint can dry out your lips so getting used to that should be beneficial in the long run.

I do appreciate a beeswax lip balm but I wish it had more tingle
