Having bought the 4 inch speakers from JXL before, I expected to have a similar sound experience, but the 6990 oval speakers are rather underwhelming and dissatisfactory, the speakers have very high treble and very low bass considering their wattage. The sound is way too tinny and the low ends are almost non-existent, considering these are 900w speakers (I doubt they are 900w in the first place). I wouldn't recommend these at all to anyone, even on a budget. Invest more for a better brand with better reputation. Aren't worth 1k.

The cover of the speaker was received damaged and broken. The warranty policy doesn't cover products damaged in transit. Other than that, the speakers are quite good especially for the price. Running them through a Sony amplifier and the bass is solid - which is what I bought them for - to serve as a bass fill. For comparison, I've used oval speakers (6x9s) from Pioneers and JBL with an external amplifier for over 15 years, and for the price these hold up. Infact, it's crazy how low these are priced.
